Jaclyn's baby shower

Hi there!

I hope you've had a great week! I was back in school for the first week and BOY was it exhausting! I've had some pain and the Dr. was a little worried and told me that if I didn't slow down then he would put me on bedrest. Sooooo - I dropped a class and vowed to take it much much easier.

On Saturday we went to Jaclyn's baby shower. There is such an excitement around one of your best friends having a baby! I'm just so happy for her and know she'll be a great mommy. We're waiting for Feb 28 for little baby Andrew to peek his head out and be welcomed into the Adachi family. Saturday night we went out with some friends of Brians so I got all dressed up for the first time in awhile. That was nice.

Today we're shopping for patio furniture and I'm getting some work done. Pretty exciting stuff!

This little boy is QUITE active! I think he'll be a gymnast and marathon runner in one!

Katy's baby shower!

Katy and I have been friends for YEARS! Jen and I were the very best of friends in high school and she flew in for Katy (her sister's) baby shower. Katy already has an adorable 4 year old - Lizzie - and is expecting a boy in 2 weeks! Let's all hope she has an easy delivery on January 28th.

Jen just had baby Daniel on June 1st of last year. He is the sweetest, quietest, cuddliest baby! I adore this little boy. Here are some pictures from the event. Please try to ignore the fact that I'm wearing the same shirt in many of the Florida pictures. Katy, Me, Jen and Daniel

Florida January 2008

Every year I visit my grandparents, Aunt Donna and cousins in sunny Florida. This year was no different and I packed myself up and headed for a visit. I had a great time, visiting with Gramma from Monday evening until Thursday afternoon when I saw Dianne and Mark (friends from Africa) for dinner. It was a quick trip, but I definitely missed my hubby and puppies at home. Next year when we go we'll have baby with us!

Jeff's visit

This last week was uneventful with the exception of Jeff's visit...which was REALLY fun. I'm glad we are so much alike. We sat at home playing games all day and went to the dog park for a little bit. Here are some pictures of his visit.

Last night was New Year's, as I'm sure you are aware. I managed to stay up until 11:45, but couldn't make it the last 15 minutes. Brian, on the other hand, passed out at 10 pm. We'll see how much he makes fun of me in the future. :-) He's not even the one growing a baby!

Speaking of baby, he's been moving more and more. I love when he moves. He likes to stick his tush on my tummy and push out. I swear he's going to come out walking because I think he is standing in there when he does that! I'm definitely getting bigger! Brian took some pictures but they need to be edited before I can post them - so we'll wait for those.

Have a fantastic New Year! Yay for 2008! The year of the baby and who knows what else!
