Busy week

This month has been busy - but so much fun!  Landon has recently gotten much easier.  I don't know if it's because Hunter has finally adjusted to playing by himself a little bit more, or if it's because Landon is a little bit more independent.  He is finally sitting by himself and has taken an interest in his toys.  He can push himself up onto all fours too!  Yesterday he started scooting backwards - at 5 months! This is a new thing and it makes me so sad that his time as a little baby is going so quickly.  He loves to giggle and stares at his big brother in awe.

Hunter has gotten more difficult.  Difficult is an understatement, actually.  Hunter is a little monster lately.  He is 2 in every sense of the word.  He pushes my limits to the extreme but he's so cute that at night=time I feel bad for getting so angry with him.  He hits, pushes and shoves other kids.  I'm cautious of bringing him to playdates because I don't know if he is going to hurt someone.  While he used to adore his baby brother, he is now quite mean to him.  He hits him, stands on his appendages and yesterday bit his nose.  I think he's doing it to get attention.  I also think he's getting a molar and is in pain so he's acting out.  Whatever it is, I hope he gets through it soon!

It isn't all bad.  He loves to snuggle.  He's very funny.  He gives me kisses and tells me all kinds of stories.  He's a good friend to most of the kids.  He really is a GOOD boy.  Just going through a difficult phase.

Today was Bridget's baby shower for her second baby.  She is so adorable and we can't wait to meet this new little pumpkin.  Most of the above pictures are from the shower.

The rest of May...

We had some professional photos taken at the beginning of the month, and this is my absolute favorite.  I wish it had Brian in it because it would be perfect then.  A mommy can't help but smile when she's holding her two favorite little baby boys!
Hunter all dressed up in hi firefighter garb + new firetruck!
Disneyland with Meema and Peepaw and the boys both took naps in the stroller.  Perfection!

At Gavin's birthday party, the boys who grew up in mommy n me together were playing in the bouncy.  Lochner, Hunter, Chance and Keagan
We went to Scottsdale.  The boys are mesmerized by Barney.
Hunter had a girl in his bed!  He was playing with maddy and when we looked up, we found them sitting in bed together.  Uh-oh! He's a little troublemaker already.Pool time!
Is Hunter grabbing Maddy's boob? Where does he learn this stuff?!
Hanging out in the pool.  Don't they look like trouble?
We'll call this a "chaperoned date".

Does Mommy get any happier than having one baby asleep on her and one cuddling in the lounge chair with her? Nope.
And Daddy gets some Hunter snuggles.
Hunter and Maddy enjoying being in the car together.  They get along SO well.  We can't wait to go on another trip with them in October!
On memorial day we had a pool party and bbq.  Hunter and his best bud, Keagan, are eating watermelon before going in the pool

We had an awesome month.  Sorry I'm so behind on pictures.  Scottsdale was amazingly fun.  We went with the Paterna families and can't imagine having more fun than we had!  Traveling with people who also have a toddler is really the way to go because they understand the tantrums, the hitting and the naps.  So much fun!  Brian and I even went out one night and the Paterna's were nice enough to watch the boys.  It was so much fun to celebrate our 9 year anniversary with a romantic evening out at dinner.

When we got home we couldn't bear to see the fun end, so we had some good friends over for a pool party.  We would have loved to invite more people but we weren't sure how our pool would handle too many more people (it's small).  I think we could handle a few more, but we'll see.  The BBQ on Memorial Day was SO much fun.  Good weather, good food but best of all, good company.

Highlights to look forward to in June: Catalina with the Burkes, Lochner and Ryan's birthday parties, Bridget's second baby shower.  Super exciting month!  Thanks for visiting.
