Life...

Hi there!

It's been a busy couple of weeks. I've been working hard on school stuff and trying not to count down the days until Baby George makes his appearance. Of course, this is impossible and I end up calculating how much longer until he's due in every different way possible. Days. Weeks. Numbers of classes. Number of clients. I could go on and on, but I won't bore you.

I made a big decision this morning that I would not defend my dissertation proposal on May 6th. It was a difficult call to make, but I think this decision is for the better in many, many ways. It's unfortunate, and a big disappointment to me, but I think I made the best decision that I could make at the current time. This gives me more time to relax and wait for the baby. This also means that I only have 2 weeks left until I'm "off" for the summer. When I'm "off" I will be working on my proposal and qualifying paper in addition to swimming and trying to spend some time with my friends. I haven't spent much time with friends lately, so it would be nice to see some people. I'm hoping Brian will be inspired by me being home, so he'll stay home with me and hang out...we'll see how well this evil plan of mine works. I know I'll want him at home when the baby comes.

Brian's birthday was on the 8th. He turned 28! What an old man. I have some pictures from when his mom and her husband came over to celebrate but they won't upload right now for some reason. Instead, here is a picture of me from when I turned 34 weeks - I'm 35.5 weeks now. We start acupuncture on Wednesday, which might help move the baby along so at least (if anything) he won't be late!!! I HOPE!

Hi Trishie...how very exciting, you're in your last month! I understand your school situation & am sure you made the wisest decision. Take care of yourself & Baby Boy in these few remaining weeks. I have no doubt that you will be an exquisite Mom (& Bri as Dad).
See you next Sunday!
With love,
Gramma Susie
