Pumpkin patch, Trunk or treat and Halloween

We have had a whole lot of fun in the past 2 weeks!  We went to Tanaka Farms (the strawberry picking place) for pumpkin picking.  We met up with the Hunt family and their 2 adorable little boys.  According to Hunter, Brandon is his "super best friend" and they love to play together.  Brandon is a full year older than Hunter, but a MUCH more mellow kid so I think he is kind of in awe of Hunter's....how should we say it.....loudness.  Hunter is taken by Brandon's maturity.  Ha.  They're cute together.

We enjoyed a wagon ride.

All 4 of us.  On a side note, my smile looks just like my mom's in this picture.
Brandon and Ryan at the patch
 Landon's adorable little face
 What on EARTH is that?
My boys.  Of course they wouldn't look at us - but this was as good as it got.  These boys make me laugh so much.  They are both so sweet in their own ways.  Hunter wants to be held and carried all the time.  He wants you to lay with him to go to sleep every night and he wraps your arm around his belly so he is certain you are close and snuggly.  Landon is the same sweet kid he has always been.  I'm waiting for the terrible 2s to get worse.  For now, he's just very curious and gets annoyed when you take away something he wants.  Other than that, he's just such a snuggle.  We have some cuddly, loving boys. Even if they won't look in our direction for pictures, we love them anyways.
Hunter and Brandon.  Smart thinking to put pumpkins there, huh?
I keep thinking about how my sweet little baby is about to be displaced as the baby.  He has no idea it is coming, although he will look at my belly and say "baby" and then point at the baby swing and say "baby".  I don't know how much he puts it together.  He is obsessed with little girl babies.  I think it's cute, but it could be dangerous because he just wants to SNUGGLE them so much.  Anyhow, this is my sweet little sleeping baby.  He is such a little love bug and I constantly think about how much I will miss loving on him as much as he wants.
Hunter too is so sweet.  Laying and listening as he falls asleep is a really sweet experience.  You're dealing with this strong-willed 3.5 yr old all day.  The kid knows how to whine and get mad at you - as is normal for his age.  But when you lay with him and listen to his breathing become regular as he is falling asleep it reminds you that he is just a sweet little boy who is pushing the limits and learning about the world in every way he knows how.  And he sure is special.
My Supermen.  Landon has to do everything that Hunter does, so they were both Superman.  And weren't the just the most Super-men you've ever seen?
At music class Landon was really excited about Brobee (from Yo Gabba Gabba).
All the music class crew in their costumes.  Such a fun day.
Andrew is Hunter's other super best friend.  He asks to see Andrew at least 9 times a week and cries hysterically when we don't see him for 2 days in a row.  It's kind of intense, this love he has for the McPhie family.  One day recently he asked me to just drop him off there.  I'm glad he feels so loved and happy at their house, but he should want me with him still!  The 3 buddies are hanging out in Andrew's new big boy bed!! Hunter is under the covers.
Trick or treating was so much fun.  We went with 4 families from our church and it was really cute.  The Olsen's are some of the most beautiful kids I have ever seen.  Landon has developed his sweet tooth and absolutely LOVED the chocolate.  Once he found the basket of candy, he didn't move from the stair.
The crew - on the move.
Sweet Landon.  He thought he was one of the big kids.  Coco would walk him up to the door and he'd say "twick oh tweet" and they would give him something and he'd say "dank oo".  So cute.  He did not want to be held for long-  he was convinced he should be on the ground.  After about 40 minutes, Brian took him back to house to hand out candy with the other little brothers in our group.  We had an amazing Halloween.  I'm excited to see what the boys are next year!

The best parenting tip I have is to peek in on your kids sleeping...it really does remind you they're little and that their naughty day wasn't that bad after all.

I would also be happy living at the McPhies'. Hunter's a smart boy.
