Let me start by saying that right now Landon and Aspen are both napping and Brian took Hunter on some errands. I've folded all of the laundry, picked up all the toys and sorted all the toys in the house. I have 3 huge garbage bags full of toys to be donated. Anyhow, it's quiet and I'm updating my blog.
On Wednesday we went to Pretend City with the Spjutes. I've been wanting to go there for ages but the timing never worked. We had so much fun. It is an entire city where the kids can run around and do pretty much whatever they want but they can't break anything! It's perfect for my little troublemakers. They can do almost any job you can imagine - from firefighter to doctor with gardening and store clerk in there too! I hope we can go here more often because it was just so cute.
They loved the marina, which functioned like a real marina and even had a water filtering plant in the corner! Hamilton and Hunter are good buddies.
And Landon and Beckett parallel play pretty well too!
They were able to perform on stage too!
And Hunter mixed the music and controlled the lights.
Landon was his DJ assistant
Then Uncle Jeff came into town! Boy were we EXCITED!! He is such a fun Uncle and has SO much energy. The boys loved wrestling with him, playing Legos and putting together their new train set.
I had to get this photo - all the kids in their scrubs. Of course I made Jeff put on his "Scrubbies" also. Is this the cutest photo? I wonder how many of them will grow up to be doctors?
Jeff is really just a big kid and loved playing with the trains et.
And Landon is quite the little monkey.
Richie - my brother's childhood best friend (since they were 3) lives nearby. He came over for dinner and then the 2 boys went out to play. It was so much fun seeing him, as I spent just about every single Friday night of my life with him while growing up. Jeff had Richie over and I had Tiffany over and we all 4 played together.
The 3 of us
The 2 of them.
We went to Adventureplex. That was so much fun. Jeff and Landon were all over the place.
And then they all took a nap. I used that time to organize toys. How cute are these 2, sleeping on the couch?!
Jeff was here on his 31st birthday! We made sure to spoil him. He got a cupcake before dinner, then we got a sitter and went out just the 3 adults (and Aspen). He got a piece of chocolate cake after a yummy dinner at Fleming's. We hope he felt loved on his big day.
The boys at the cupcake place.
And Jeff with his chocolate cake. Mmmm. That was good cake (he shared).
Me and the little Lady were enjoying the night out.
Me and my 2 favorite men - Jeff and Brian.
This is how we actually looked all night. Laughing and happy.
Here is a posed picture where we are behaving ourselves. I just love when my brother comes to visit. He is so much fun.
On Friday morning we took Landon to his first indoor soccer class. He wasn't feeling great, but he did his best. I was glad Jeff was with us because he loves soccer. I hope my boys love sports like Jeff does!
Such a pro!
My goal this year is to get Landon into more mommy n me activities. He's such an easy kid that I spend my one on one time at home, folding laundry, instead of playing with him. I'm signing us up for that soccer class and a mommy n me class. He should be around more kids his age. As it is we play a lot with older kids (Hunter's age group). I cannot believe this little sweet boy is almost 2. While he does have his moments, for the most part he is the sweetest kid I have ever met. He is loving and kind. He shares well and talks incessantly. He loves to cuddle and always has the words to ask for what he wants. He makes me laugh all the time. He sleeps in his big boy bed and even lets Hunter join him (even though I think he'd rather sleep alone). He adores his big brother, even when Hunter is mean. He loves to say prayers and talk about Jesus, which is just so cute. He will demand a prayer just about anywhere (including while i am driving). He says "PEAR!" and folds his arms and waits. He loves his little sister and always needs to be held when she is nursing. When she cries he tells me "Aspen crying" and makes an upset face. If she is crying for too long then he also starts to cry. What empathy! This little boy is a monkey for sure - he climbs just about everything and is pretty much fearless. He stole my heart 2 years ago and it is still 1/4 his. Landon is love.
Now we're going to eat lunch and get my Aunt from the airport! Woohoo!
