I'm up anyways....

I'm up anyways. Pregnancy. Aspen woke up and went back to bed an hour later, but I'm up. It's been 2.5 hours. I'm excited for my baby shower in the morning and I can't wait to meet this little girl. I can't wait to know when she will be here. But also, I can.

I love being pregnant and feeling a baby move inside of me.  Whoever doesn't believe in God must have never been pregnant. How amazing is it that a woman can grow an entire person in her body? Then she can birth that person and feed that person and really only needs her body to do all of these things? It is pretty incredible.  I will miss feeling Maisy in my belly.

She is an active baby. My most active by far, with Hunter coming in second. I think she does barrel rolls and elbows, punches and knees me frequently. Aspen is a hot mess who has become so attached to me that she will no longer nap unless she is laying on my belly. To this, Maisy kicks her. It is funny if you are me.  It's also hot. I'm hot all the time. I'm laying in bed sweating. So, I can't wait to meet her. But I also love feeling her move. I think it's one of the greatest privileges that we, as women, are allowed.  We get to great a life. A precious life. How lucky are we?

I'll take the insomnia and the morning sickness and the overheating. I'll take the inability to comfortably get in and out of a car, or the fact that I will be on a strict diet/exercise regime for the next year so I can get my body back. I'll take it all because pregnancy isn't something we should complain about; it's something we should celebrate. So as much as I cannot WAIT to meet this baby (and I can't wait), I am also grateful for each kick and roll and punch that I get to feel.

I had a maternity shoot about 2 weeks ago. I've only received 2 "sneak peeks" so far. I'll post them here.  The photographer did an incredible job. I think she captured how much I love having a life grow inside of me. And I think she captured my excitement and love for little Maisy.

I know I haven't had a ton to say lately. I'm just busy and it's hard to remember to take photos and such when I'm not traveling. Everything here is great though. The kids are doing well.  Landon is in a naughty phase, which I will chalk up to him trying to get attention before the baby comes.  He's also 4 and doesn't need to listen (so he thinks). Aspen is giving up her naps and she is 2 - so that's a lot of fun. She needs to nap! Hunter is awesome. That kid is just a treasure. They all are, but right now Hunter is my easy one.

I am feeling very loved lately. Brian and I had 2 dates this week and he brought me 2 beautiful dozens of roses earlier in the week.  On the same day 4 of my girlfriends woke up early and went to the downtown flower market to buy flowers for the shower they are throwing for me in the morning. Megan seems to have gone all out and I am SO excited to see what she has in store for me tomorrow. One of my closest friends who moved away in July (Tami) drove back with her 3 kids so that she could be at my shower.  It is amazing to feel so loved.

I guess that is all I have to say for right now. Hopefully my next post will be within the week and will include photos of Maisy Grace. I've been saying the 16th was my day and I found out that we have a full moon on the 16th (which makes it more likely for your water to break supposedly). So I'm pulling for the 16th :-) Hunter says the 17th. Actually he says "Me and Maisy have a connection and I know she is coming on Monday." and Landon seems to think the 21st. I don't care what day she comes, so long as it is a safe and healthy delivery for my safe and healthy baby. On that note, I've been up for almost 3 hours now and I am going to lay back down and see if I can go back to sleep. Keep me and Maisy in your prayers!

I haven't clicked over to your blog in a long time, but found the link today so I decided to see what the goings-on are in the George Family.

You look absolutely beautiful, Trish. As much as you sweat, struggle with standing up, etc, pregnancy suits you. You simply glow when you have a baby growing in your belly. It's magical.

Maisy will join the George family very soon! We can't wait to welcome her into the family.

Much love,

Vicki, Nate, Tessa, and Sawyer
