Maisy's first 3 weeks + Chi Chi's visit!

Maisy= 10 days

Maisy = 2 weeks 6 days

Maisy= 2 days

Daddy and his princess

Aspen is OBSESSED.  It is a HUGE difference between having a boy as your youngest when you have a newborn and having a little girl.  If Maisy cries, Aspen is the first to check on her.  I have caught Aspen rubbing blankets under her nose the way Aspen does to herself. It's as if she knows that Maisy would like it, but can't do it herself. She asks to hold the baby constantly. She is totally, head over heels, in love with her sister.
The 4 kids watching tv.
Hunter loves Maisy too!

Our friend, Sue, is a pediatrician and came over to check Maisy out on Sunday after she was born. Such a sweet friend!  She actually brought the green dress that Aspen is wearing in the picture of the 4 kiddos.
My beautiful girls
Cheryl also adores baby Maisy
Maisy's first car ride was on Monday morning, to go to the dr. The doctor totally stressed me out and I am not a huge fan of his currently.
The Wednesday after Maisy was born, Hunter got a gold card in a little assembly at school. He is such an incredible kid. I don't think he could be any kinder, sweeter or a better big brother. I am SO proud of this kid.

Naptime.
*Smiles!*
We went to the aquarium. I was deliriously tired - but I was there!
See? I'm there!
Showing the kids the otters.
Sea lions!
And then it was Daddy's birthday and everyone wanted to help make his cake.
It doesn't look as good as it tastes - it was Ah-mazzzzing.
And one day a friend called and asked to take Hunter to the beach. Hunter got off the phone and shouted "I'm going to the beach." After a huge meltdown by Landon, I packed up all the kids and met Lindsay and Hunter at the beach.
Landon enjoying the sand.
Why should she wear her hat? it looks better in the sand.

And then the same amazing friend (thank you Lindsay) took Aspen to an Easter Egg hunt! She is so good to me! Aspen had a blast after getting over the sadness of being away from me.
I love this kid. I love him too much.
Brian took the boys on a "boys' trip" to San Francisco. He took my camera with him and ooh no photos on it. I can pull some photos off of his Facebook though.  They went for 3 nights and it felt like an eternity. Everyday Aspen had a playdate, which allowed Maisy and I to nap and to clean. 2 of my favorite things.  On Friday night, Aunt Chi Chi and Uncle Mike arrived. Chi Chi stayed for 10 days - her longest visit yet but it was nowhere near long enough. She is one of those people I could spend all day everyday with and never ever get sick of her. Thank you for coming, Chi Chi! I spent the whole day today explaining (repeatedly) to Aspen that Chi Chi flew home to her house and we will see her in 4 months. This was Sunday morning, they decorated foam easter eggs.

And Uncle Mike taught them how to play tennis. He used to be a tennis pro.
Look at that pro!

And the beach!

Chi Chi took such good care of the kiddos while I sat with Maisy.

Picking flowers for me.

Landon is obsessed with uncle Mike!

Aspen also loves Uncle Mike
On monday night we took them to Fleming's for dinner. We were so grateful that they came to visit. Sadly, Uncle Mike left on Tuesday morning.
Chi Chi is getting more and more comfortable with my tiny little chick.

Chi Chi and I took Aspen for her first mani/pedi. I need to post some photos of that. It was incredible. She was mesmerized by it and sat perfectly still.  She and I got the same color on our toes. She got blue on her nails with flowers. So cute. Love having a little girl!
My beauty.

Baby in a box.
Dying eggs. So stressful. This is the first time we did it and I was glad Chi Chi was here.

I was nursing, as always. It's not that I don't WANT to play with my kids.  It's that I can't. This girl will nurse for 2-3 hours straight if I let her.

Check out her nails.
Maisy got very attached to Chi Chi!
We took the kids for professional pictures (see white outfits and purple outfits). I knew i couldn't do it on my own so I did it when Chi Chi was with me. They came out cute - and I LOVE Maisy in this little outfit.
And Chi Chi built stuff with them - she did tons of games and activities with the kids. With her there, I had the opportunity to do something individually with each kid. I'd ask them if they wanted to do a puzzle or read a book. It was nice to get some 1 on 1 time.

Selfie! Chi chi walked Landon to school on Friday and stayed for the egg hunt. I then picked them up and we drove to Irvine for strawberry picking. We had the biggest group ever - almost 40 people!

Stashing eggs in his pants pockets. Trouble!
Shelby and Valerie - Landon's teachers whom I ADORE.

Avery came!
And the Trans!

And eating.

Oops!
Elizabeth is my hero. She brought 5 kids all by herself.

3 trouble makers. All mine. So loved.
Making egg salad for the egg hunt party.

Megan making cotton candy!

Chi Chi was in charge of making sure that no one touched Maisy or breathed on her.

Look who was the first out of the gate. Smart girl.

Hunter and Inara. Why is he always surrounded by cute girls?!

I just love photos of my babies sleeping. Isn't he sweet? This was the night before Easter.
Perfect little boy.
Our dirty little secret.  We sometimes let her watch the iPad until she falls asleep. We can't put them all to sleep at the same time, can we?
The Easter bunny came! Thanks to Jeff and Sarah for the gorgeous baskets.

Big man had already discovered the baskets, so he wasn't TOO excited.

Maisy LOVES her Maisy Mouse. She juggles up to it. She's sleeping with it right now, while I type.
She was SUPER excited about her basket! So cute.

And he was excited too! Loved everything in it (mostly toys, not a lot of chocolate.)

We were SO sad to drop off Chi Chi at the airport on Sunday night.  We miss her a ton already (she left last night.) We can't wait to explore Pennsylvania with her in August. It will be super fun. We had So much fun! Love her too much.
