Wow we have been busy! The boys started a gold league in addition the their golf lessons. They are really enjoying it. In addition, Brian takes them golfing one day a week. They are playing lot of golf!!! It's so wonderful to see them develop as players and to truly love the game.
We picked out pumpkins at Tanaka Farms, like we do every year. It was hot and busy, but we enjoyed regardless. I love watching these kiddos grow!We do our homeschool work 5-6 days a week. We keep very busy with the curriculum in addition to typing, piano, computer robotics, applied mathematics, Scouts, etc. We never know when we will miss a day, so we work every day that we can. I have also found that the consistency helps the kids (especially Landon) stay focused.
Landon. And his cavities. Boohoo.
Maisy lives for 2 things: Ballet and My Gym. Mommy takes her to ballet and she practices all the time. Daddy takes her to My Gym and she loves it more than you can imagine.
Ms. Maddy is Maisy and Aspen's teacher. They both adore her.
Race relations in the US.
The boys are learning about geography. We decided to put together a globe puzzle. While putting it together we worked South to North and learned about where the 7 continents are, the 4 oceans, etc.
Brian and Maisy at My Gym. It's always been his thing - he took all of our kids to My Gym until they were 3, or if school interfered. He's such a great Daddy.
Open House for Aspen and Maisy. Maisy is starting at Montessori in January. She has gone to school a few times to get used to it. Ms. Shelby has said she was the perfect student.
Aspen and her fiance. Will.
The boys had to take some "tests" so we went to Peet's to work on it. Brian studied for the bar at Peet's and I basically wrote my qualifying exams and my dissertation at a Peet's. I thought they would like the change of scenery. Mr. Go with the flow (Hunter) loved it. Mr. Particular decided it was too loud and he wanted to go home.
They finished the world! The world is in their hands. Insert cliche here.
My strong hubby. We go to the gym 4-5 days a week and we love it!
Aspen finished the Kindergarten curriculum at Montessori! She was still 4 when she finished and will move on to first grade curriculum. She will spend another year at Montessori and then I will homeschool her. She's so smart!
Our pier. Love it.
We made some amazing apple crepes. Amazing. The girls prepared the apples for me!
Landon is SO proud to be a boy scout. He is a tiger and loves his troop. Once a week he sees all his friends from school. He also has at least one playdate a week, in addition to the other fun stuff he does.
Aspen is a wonderful pancake maker!
Maisy at My Gym with Daddy
Rachel is so awesome. I had playdates set up for the 3 big kids and Hunter's playdate fell through! Rachel look Landon to Disneyland. So sweet.
Pumpkin carving: Hunter carved his all by himself.
We helped the other kids.
I did Maisy's all by myself (applause please).
Oh - one of my favorite people! It was my Mother-in-law's birthday! We got a sitter for the kids and went to Lawry's for her birthday. My brother in law has an incredible new partner who makes our whole family operate more smoothly. I can't explain it but to say that I LOVE him.
Halloween was Maisy's first day of preschool. She went for 2 hours and one of the hours Brian was there, trick or treating with the girls. Hedwig and Hermione
Landon finished his second book for homeschool!
He also completed "Lesson manual A" which includes the first 60 lessons of the year!!! Smart boy!
Aspen had a private with Ms. Maddy because none of the other girls showed up.
Professor McGonagall has Ron and Harry by the ears. Naughty little wizards.
With Dumbledore and Luna Lovegood.
Golfer - so cute.
Water balloon fight! As the coach for Landon's soccer team, I told him that if they win they can throw water balloons at me. They've hit me for the past two weeks!
Decked out in Minnie Mouse and ready to celebrate the birthday girl, Aspen. I took just the girls to Disneyland.
Lucky Minnie Mouse sighting!
Boudin for birthday girl.
Me and my Magoo.
Me and Maisy.
Megan and Katie met us at Disney. It was amazing.
We lost our second tooth!! Anyone know what Landon wants for Christmas?
Date night with my love!
Hello Kitty birthday at Art Zone.
Aspen wanted chocolate chip pancakes and to go to school for her birthday circle. I took the boys and Maisy to the library and for hot cocoa. The library was closed.
Then we went for birthday circle!
Aspen's earth went around the sun. Sha la.
Ba-yay for Maisy and Ballet for Aspen and then dinner at Lawry's. It was a wonderful birthday.
Hunter insisted on buying Aspen a ripstick for her birthday. He's earned a LOT of money from all of the chores and what not he does at our house. Anyhow, he wouldn't even split it with me. He bought her a $55 present. He wrapped it himself and proudly presented it to her. Watch this progression. Watch his face, and hers.
This picture melts my heart and captures the relationship that these two have always had. Pure. Love.
Then he went outside with her and taught her to ride her ripstick. Landon went upstairs to pout that he didn't get one.
Dinner at Lawry's! Grandma Kathey sent dresses and capes for the girls.
Ms. Maddy got Aspen peanut M&Ms - her favorite! Such a wonderful dance teacher.
The kids are allowed to have soda ONLY on their birthday. This is a happy girl and a Shirley Temple.
My family makes me smile. Even when I need time away from them.
Piano!
We voted. We talked about it a lot. We weighed the candidates. We discussed what it means to be Democrat, Republican or Communist (haha). And then, we did it. The kids learned a lot. Hunter is really interested in politics and asked if he could run for President. I suggested that he doesn't.
