The girls work so hard all year long. We travel a lot (obviously), but when we are in town, they are at the dance studio! They work so hard to learn their routines, please the teachers and make friends. This year Aspen took hip hop, ballet and jazz! She killed all 3 dances. I was a little worried abut her jazz performance, but it all came together when it needed to and she knew all the moves. I was SO proud of her and she was so proud of herself! It's such an emotional experience to watch your children succeed at what they care about the most. It's like watching Landon on the soccer field - sometimes my eyes just fill with tears while watching him. That's how I feel about the girls on the big stage!
Maisy LOVED being on the stage. Her little (HUGE) personality is destined to be on a stage. She loves the attention and applause. She wasn't even a little bit nervous - and she was up on that stage in front of HUNDREDS of people AND she didn't get to do the rehearsal. Not only that, but she sat through ALL of Aspen's performances. Because Aspen was in 3 performances, they scheduled her in 3 shows, which took about 6 hours of sitting and watching dance. I think it was more difficult for me than it was for her! She was so content to watch the big girls and tell me how she already knows how to do that. So adorable. Love these girls.
