Hi! Brian and I had a fantastic Dr. appt. Well,t o begin, Dr. Tsui is a very sweet guy who looks like he's about my age but he definitely knew the answers to all of my questions, which was nice. I woke up at 5:30 with severe nausea and couldn't shake it before the appt. I forced myself to eat some yogurt, hoping it would settle my tum. By the time we got to the Dr. office I was so excited that the nausea was really secondary.
We had the ultrasound immediately with a sweet woman named Julie. It only lasted for a minute or so, and we were told that the baby is actually a week YOUNGER than we thought! So it's only 6 weeks and 4 days old and is now due on May 25th. Bummer, huh? I thought I was a week closer to being free from morning sickness.
They want us to do a test called "Nuchal transluca" which measures the neck of the baby (in the first trimester) and does other genetic testing to ensure that the baby is healthy. I think we'll do this at around week 10 because the baby will be more developed by then so it will actually look like a person!
Here's one of the ultrasounds. The faint gray circle that's kind of large is my uterus. The black sac is the gestational sac and if you look REALLY closely there is a gray dot that is the yolk, my baby's food. The bigger gray area inside the black sac is the baby! I'm not sure it's technically a "baby" yet, but I love it and think of it as my baby - so to me it's a baby!

So - are we all still convinced it's a boy?! I am! Especially because dessert sounds disgusting to me. Since when do I not eat dessert?! Speaking of, we're going to Cheesecake Factory with Vicki and Nate tonight...she's due in 12 days! We're SO excited for her.

Ultrasounds are the MOST exciting things!! I am so glad you (and baby George) are doing well. Looks like his/her birthdate is getting closer and closer to Daniel's. Maybe you will have a June 1st baby too! Take care of yourself and keep me updated! Love ya!
Awww...there's Andrew's little play date in there! I can't wait until he starts growing bigger and bigger! :)
