We just returned from a fun filled weekend in Vegas. We arrived on Friday afternoon and were able to hang out with Jeff and Holly (my brother and his fiance) for a few hours. There are so cute together! Here are some pictures of the evening. We even had margaritas...of course mine was a virgin.

Then we went to an 11 pm showing of Chris Rock. He's a good performer but I don't think he's very funny. His jokes are quite racist and make me uncomfortable. I also think he swears too much and is very vulgar. Needless to say, I was exhausted BEFORE the show began, so when we were done at 1:30 am I was barely able to open my eyes. Then we headed back to the Red Rock Hotel - which is quite a ways from the Strip. Brian's car tells him how many miles he has left on that tank and he was desperately avoiding getting gas BUT....the car went to --. That means there are NO miles left. What it really means (as we came to find out) is that there is one more gallon left in the tank. Well, he also has a feature on his car that tells him where the nearest gas station is...so we thought we were safe. We turned on that function and followed the directions, against our better judgment. We ended up in a cul-de-sac with no gas and a freaked out, tired me. My only response was "I don't push." I'm pregnant - and I'm cranky - and I'm tired and there's no way he was going to get me to push. Anyhow, we coasted down a major street that hit another major street and - WA LA! Gas. I was never so excited to be at a gas station in my whole life. And then I about passed out.
Saturday was spent shopping. We arrived at the mall at 11:50 am and left at 7:30 pm. We walked and walked and shopped and shopped. With a new baby and a new house on the way there was a lot of shopping to be done. I bought some maternity clothes (which were on sale, of course) and we got Brian a Christmas present. At 8 pm we saw Jerry Seinfeld. He was the funniest person in the whole world! We had an amazing time at the show, laughing until I cried. He has great delivery.
This morning we woke up, took a belly picture - it feels bigger than it looks - and drove home. Now I have some work to do. The puppies are sleepily back at home. I think they enjoyed their weekend at camp.
