Sorry I've been MIA! I didn't realize I had such a loyal following. Thanks for bugging me to update :-) You could leave me comments and I'd be more likely to post more frequently. I didn't know that many people actually checked it so I have been lax about it. Thanks for following Baby George's growth!
So, here are 2 pictures from last week (week 27). I definitely look pregnant now. I like looking pregnant but I don't like the comments that accompany it. For example "You're so big!" - no girl, pregnant or not, wants to hear that she's "big". Say "You're carrying very well." or "I can't believe you're ____ weeks." Considering that I've only gained 16 pounds, I am on the way to a low weight gain (you're supposed to gain 25-35 and I am aiming for 25-30). So next time you talk to a pregnant friend, daughter, granddaughter, etc please think about the fact that you're calling someone "big" because you might not like their comeback. It's all I can do sometimes to bite my tongue instead of saying "You're getting so big too! I'm pregnant, what's your excuse?"

This picture was taken this morning. I'm 28 weeks and 4 days! I can't believe I'll be 29 weeks on Wednesday. The following Wednesday I have a Dr. appt and then we go to Hawaii on Friday. It's a good thing Spring Break fell when it did, because the Dr. doesn't want me traveling "overseas" after 32 weeks. We'll be back before then.
(Yes, those are neurons on my sleeve).Brian has been SUPER cute about my growing belly. Luckily he doesn't think I look like the big, grotesque, grumpy monster that I sometimes feel like. In fact, he thinks I'm quite cute. What a husband, huh? I knew I was lucky before, but I feel even MORE lucky after going through this process with him. He's an incredible guy and I know he'll be a fantastic Daddy.
This is my niece, Tessa, at about 4 months. She can lift her head and will occassionally roll herself over!! I'm so proud of her.
Isn't Brian a natural? I don't think he could be much cuter.
So, I was also thinking about the remainder of the time that we have before Baby George arrives.
March 14 - Hawaii
March 29 - Baby shower (SOOOOO excited!)
April 8 - Brian turns 28!
April 23 - New car (turn quals paper and dissertation proposal in to committee)
May 6- Defend quals (AHHHHHHHHHHHHH)
May 21/25 - Baby George comes?
We sure do have our hands full from now until then! At least we have a lot of little things to break up the 2 month wait.
Finally, in the MOST exciting news....Jaclyn had her baby on Tuesday! Andrew Ryan was 7 1/2 pounds, 20 inches long and is absolutely perfect. I don't feel right about posting pictures before Jaclyn does, but as soon as she posts some I will put some up on here as well. She's feeling alright, recovering very well, and enjoying being a mommy.

Hi Trishie,
What Gramma-to-be wouldn't be excited about a blog with photos of the "not big" but entirely radiant looking Mom-to-be! I've been following it closely, but knew you've been super busy. I'm glad to see your "head above water" a bit to post now. Shake off that cold, though...feel better & enjoy the wonderful time ahead. I would say, from experinece, to savor every moment even though baby boy is your goal. This time is unique in its own fabulous way (been there, done that...lol)...
Love you lots,
Susie
Trish!! Hey! You are looking great :) What an exciting few months you have ahead of you. Wish I could be there for the shower. I know it is going to be wonderful. Hope you are feeling well. I called you last night- we need to talk- it has been far too long.
p.s.- UC Irvine is in CA- so we may be very very close in a few months!
Yay for a new post! I'd missed them! You and your belly look fab (only 16 pounds, seriously? amazing!) and screw all the people who say "you look so big!" They're all insensitive a**holes! :) Have a great trip to Hawaii!!!
I DO read your blog, and I LOVE your updates. It gives a whole new meaning to the word procrastination. No, wait, I mean, reading your blog is a serious business that transcends procrastination!
I was talking to an old lady (who's NOT my client) about the "big" comment and she said you're totally right about it. Truth is, you don't look big. I mean, big or not, I think you look healthy, and that's the most important thing :D
