While Jeff came in on Monday night and stayed through Wednesday morning, he actually was here for very little time. He left at 6:40 am on Tuesday morning and 5:50 am on Wednesday! He was able to spend about an hour with Hunter. Hunter is going through separation and stranger anxiety, plus he was a little bit grumpy from waking up late from his nap. These things together made for an interesting time with Uncle Jeff. He did calm down after about 10 minutes and was his normal, smiley self. He immediately went for the glasses, as is his nature.

Uncle Jeff can't get enough of the little guy.

At one point he said "I can see how having babies is addicting" - I guess that's a big complement to our little guy. I certainly think it's addicting!

Super Baby!

Kisses!

On Thursday we went to Ryan's house for a little party. Brittaney, Mindi, Karen and I made the pilgrammage to her house (hehe, it's really not that far). Brittaney and Wilder played on the floor.

And cuddled

Karen and Anabel hung out on the couch

While Hunter entertained himself on the floor. Notice that he is actually wearing clothes in this picture. He overheated soon after this picture, and then he was in his favorite outfit: a diaper. I wish I could always keep his little naked body exposed.

Daddy and Hunter hanging out at the office

The puppies visiting their little man. Hunter was not too happy about this and started crying after a minute of licking.

Big brother Thor is his little protector!

"Someone has a stinky diaper and it wasn't me!"

Back at Ryan's house, Anabel and Hunter play together. Anabel is a month younger than Hunter but she's growing so quickly that she's bigger than him already! Friday was Hunter's 7 month check-up. He gained only 3/4 of a pound, making him 16 lbs 10 ozs, 26.75 inches and his head was 44 cm. Length and head gain were normal, while the doctor was a little bit concerned about his weight gain. He thought perhaps it is because Hunter is SO active for his age, but he wants me to keep an eye on how much he eats. I'm supposed to feed him 3 solid meals a day plus at least 4-5 nursing sessions. Of course, I find all of this out on Friday and on Saturday he goes 7 hours of refusing food. Did I panic? YES! I called the doctor and he said to just make sure he's having pee-pee diapers and give him pedialyte. He did just fine and was seemingly better by late last night. Today, Monday, he's nursed a TON, had 3 meals and is currently sleeping in his crib like a little angel.
Anyhow, back to the pictures: Hunter and Anabel are playing with an ape!

Beautiful little girl.

Daddy cuddling his little guy!

Isn't he so cute in this argyle hat? He has a matching vest but I love this onesie. It says "Smart cookie" which is a phrase my mom used frequently.

On Friday night we went to Roberts street to walk around and look at the lights. It's a really cute neighborhood in North Torrance where they decorate all the houses. The people are out on the sidewalks selling cookies and hot chocolate. Most people drive through but we walked it and really enjoyed it. There was a marching band walking around playing Christmas carols and the houses were done up beautifully. Hunter slept through the whole thing, but we enjoyed it.

Walking around on Roberts Street. Yes, this is the only picture of me you get because I think I look terrible. I get my hair done on Wednesday and then I'll feel a little bit better :-)

Hunter and I were playing in the back of the car while waiting for Daddy to run an errand - isn't he the cutest?!

Ok, so tonight we were practicing crawling. He took 2 crawling steps and then fell down. I was so proud of him! Look at that smiley little face!

FEET! A new obsession

At My Gym, earlier in the day, he played in the balls

And he played with Jessy and Denny.

Michelle snuggled her little girl, Devyn

After his bath, Hunter wouldn't let me put his diaper on because that would interfere with his toe-sucking. Haha.

Mohawk!

Rub-a-dub-dub

Rubber ducky, you're the one!
Well, that's it for this week. My goal is to have Hunter up to 18 pounds by his 8 month check-up. That gives us a month to gain 1 lb 6 ounces. I know it's a tall order, especially if he starts crawling, but I'm just worried he's gonna be a little guy!
Tomorrow we are supposed to go to Disneyland as a late birthday present for me and Jason. I really hope we go...it's been raining and rain is forecast for tomorrow. I can't, in good conscience, bring Hunter out in the rain. I've never been to Disneyland where it's all decorated for Christmas though, and would really like to see it. Let's hope we don't have rain!
Next Thursday is Christmas! How crazy is that?! That means we leave to see my wonderful, beautiful family and then go on our New Year's cruise. My little cousin (who isn't SO little anymore) got into U Penn early decision! I'm so proud of you Becky!
Brian is quietly sleeping next to me, so I think it's bedtime. Better than my 8:10 pm bedtime I had yesterday - it's almost 10!
