June

June has been a beautiful month so far. We came back from Scottsdale and got back into the swing of life. Brian ha sbeen very busy with work, so we miss him at home. The weather has been very gloomy - June Gloom - but it's nice to enjoy the cloud cover while we're at the park or on a walk with friends.

Hunter has some new tricks up his sleeve. He can run - a full run. He does this especially when we open a door to somewhere because he knows that we can quickly close it and shut him out. It makes me laugh to see him coming at me at his full speed because I have to go to the bathroom or something. He can also walk backwards! I think it's very neat, but sometimes he scares himself when he does it. He loves to hide in the curtains and play "peek-a-boo" with us and he knows how to put toys and books away. I love it that he learned this by watching me and not by me actively teaching it to him. He has a vocabulary of probably about 25 words now. They aren't clear to most people, but I definitely can figure out what he is saying and Brian knows most of the words too!

I haven't been feeling great, with morning sickness and all, but it isn't as bad as it was with Hunter. I mostly feel just very tired and unable to keep up with my little bundle of energy. He is full speed ahead everyday it seems. Lately he gave up napping (i think his teeth are hurting him) and he only sleeps 10 hours at night. So I wake up at 5:30 and he goes to bed at 7 and I may get 2 20 minute naps along the way...then Brian is home and I try to be entertaining and pleasant...but I am truly dead by that point in the day!

Brian had his second Father's Day last weekend. I haven't uploaded pictures from that yet, but I will do it soon. It was a beautiful sunny day. We went for a walk on the Strand with the dogs, then we had lunch at a beautiful restaurant on the Pier, followed by an evening of swimming and our favorite pizza. It was a really great day!

Last Monday we had an ultrasound that showed that Baby #2 is growing beautifully. She ha sa strong, healthy heartbeat and has a due date of Feb 7. I am still confident that we will have a January baby because I tend to have babies early :-)

Here are some pictures I thought were cute from the last few weeks. A few are from dinner at one of our favorite restaurants. Hunter is very interested in trying whatever it is that we are eating, which is wonderful! He has questionable eating habits though - as you can see he is eating off the table with his mouth (gross).

We also went to a fair with Morgan, Bridget and Keagan. It was fun to be there, but all of the smells at a fair are not friendly when you have the beginnings of morning sickness! GROSS!

I will try to post more frequently, but it is entirely dependent on the little guy's napping schedule...and on mine ;-)

Hunter will be a sweet big brother when he sees his little sister. I can already imagine that ;)
