My loves....my boys

It is hard to believe, but Landon is already 2 weeks old!  We went for his 2 week check-up and found that all of this nursing is paying off well.  Landon gained 7 ozs from his birth weight - 12 ounces from his weight when we left the hospital.  Sometimes he nurses for 90 minutes at a stretch - so I guess it's doing him some good.  He is still a very calm, easy baby.  He doesn't cry or get upset unless I don't feed him quickly enough.  He wakes up every 2.5-4 hours at night to nurse.  His times of being awake and alert are getting longer and I'm really enjoying watching him take in the world.  He orients in the direction of my voice and of Hunter's noise.  Poor baby!  Hunter is in a stage where he loves to bang, drop and slam things.  Landon sometimes gets startled, but I think he's getting used to all the noise.

Hunter is ridiculously loving with Landon.  Actually, he's loving with everyone these days.  He kisses friends who come over for playdates, me and Daddy.  He adores his little brother and kisses him as much as he possibly can.  He enjoys "holding" the baby, although he does tell me "Baby, night night" when he wants me to come play with him.  I struggle with giving them both the attention that they deserve.  I give Hunter one-on-one mommy time as much as I possibly can and I have heard that this helps with the transition to having two kids.  Hunter is adjusting like a champ.  He does have his moments, especially when Landon has been nursing for a long time, or when he just wakes up from a nap.  At those times he wants to be held and he tells the baby "NOOOOOO!".  As in "No, I'm not sharing my mommy!"

Hunter had his 21 month appt on Tuesday as well.  He is 34.75 inches and 27 lbs 14 ozs.  He is really filling out and we no longer worry about his weight.  In fact, he weighs 20 pounds more than his little brother.  I'm going to remove the smoothies from his diet because those helped put weight on him and I think he doesn't need the help anymore.

Here is a picture of the boys bonding in bed.  Hunter loves to snuggle with Landon.
Here's my lovebug.  Look at those cheeks!  That's his little nickname from me.

This weekend is Valentine's Day and my aunt Denise is coming to visit.  I am so excited to see her and for her to meet my new little man - and to visit with the big guy.  Brian and I are planning on going out for dinner on Valentine's Day because we don't know when else we would have a chance to get away just the two of us.  I'm so thankful that she is coming to visit and can't wait to see her...I'm also glad to get her out of the ridiculous storm they are having in NJ!
