Late!

This blog update is several weeks late.  I haven't uploaded pictures recently but these are photos from a few weeks ago.  We've been very busy with soccer, swimming, My Gym class and play dates!

We are taking soccer classes with Hunter's best friend, Keagan.  Here they are practicing "red light."

At a play date at Lori's house we  went in the little pool. Hunter, Ava, Keagan, and Gavin had a great time splashing around together.

Back to soccer practice, Hunter and Keagan are running around after the balls.  Meema came one day a few weeks ago and Hunter did not want to play soccer - he wanted to play with his Gramma!Hunter likes to help me.  He is feeding Landon! Landon loves any attention he gets from his big brother.

Keagan turned 2 on July 12th!  Hunter loved playing with Keagan at his birthday party.

We went to the park with Daddy one Sunday and put Landon on the swings and the bouncy bug.  He loved it! Of course this kid smiles about everything.

Lucas, Becky's second baby, is trying to talk to Landon.  Landon just wants to shove things in his mouth as he is not yet super social.  He is starting to crawl and has moved a few little steps at a time on his own.

We've been keeping the boys busy and trying to enjoy the weather.  It isn't too hot yet so we're enjoying the semi-overcast weather.  We have soccer lessons, swim lessons, My Gym class, and regular play dates with our mom's club and with a group of moms who I have known for 2 years.  

Landon will be 6 months old tomorrow.  He had his check up on Wednesday and got 2 shots.  Poor little pumpkin.  He weighed in at 17 pounds, 10 ounces, was 26.5 inches long and his head was 46 cm!  What a big boy! He is such a little superstar.  He's the easiest, friendliest, happiest little baby.  He smiles at everyone, LOVES to eat and is just a sweetheart.  We feel so lucky to have him as our little baby.

Hunter is a wild man.  He is pushing his nap later and waking up earlier.  He is an endless bundle of energy and fun.  He is too smart for his own good and for mine!  He can figure out most anything, and I am lucky that he still listens to me.  I need his help a lot and luckily he wants to help me.  He's a good boy but I do not have the energy to keep up with him!  He is the Energizer bunny.

I have been working on my dissertation again.  I plan to graduate in May 2011.  I can't wait and am so excited to finally be DONE with my work. Then I will teach a course or two at the local community college or state school to give myself something to do.

Next week we are going to San Diego and will be joined by Meema and Peepaw for 2 nights.  We also plan on going to Sea World and the San Diego Zoo.  We're SO excited!  When we come back my two favorite aunts come to visit and stay with us for a week! Then we are leaving the boys with them for the first time ever and taking 2 nights by ourselves, just me and Brian.  I am SO excited to see them but SO nervous to leave the little guy.  Hunter will be fine because he LOVES Aunt Chi Chi and Aunt Nonna, but little Landon is only 6 months old.  I can't believe I'm leaving him.  I'll miss them both so much but I am SO excited to celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary!

Both boys are asleep, so I'm going to sleep too. Night.
