San Diego

We have been so busy lately!  We just came home from a week in San Diego.  We thought it was going to be relaxing, but it was a whirlwind of activity!  We had SO much fun though and I'm excited to share our experiences with you.

We saw my brother's college roommate, who is now a doctor in San Diego.  He is like a second big brother to me and it was SO nice to see him.  His adorable wife went to dinner with us which was super fun too!
Exhausted after the zoo.  I actually changed his clothes and his diaper and he slept through it.
I want to nibble on those chunky man thighs!
Two words: Love bug
Ice chest rides.  A BIG hit!

On the train.
Superboys
Petting dolphins
The hotel had S'mores on Wednesday night. YUM!

We arrived on Saturday and checked in and got settled.  On Sunday morning the Parkers came to visit, which Hunter LOVED.  These are his adopted grandparents, of sorts.  Then his real grandparents came on Sunday afternoon - Tuesday.  We had such a good time.  On Sunday night Brian made steaks for dinner (yum!).  On monday we walked around Encinitas and had dinner in Del Mar.  Tuesday morning we had breakfast with Meema and Peepaw and then they went home and we took a train to downtown San Diego. We walked around, had lunch, had ice cream (yum!) and then came home.  We were exhausted by the time we got back -we probably walked 8 miles that day!

On Wednesday we went to Sea World - my favorite place.  We loved everything, but Hunter especially loved the dolphins (like his mommy!).  We waited in line for about 30 minutes so we could feed them and when we got our turn, he freaked out and decided against it.  Brian and I got to feed them though and that was pretty cool.

Thursday was a pool day and Friday we went to the Zoo with some friends who live in San Diego and just had their second baby (Fiona).  It was so nice to explore the zoo with another family.  This trip was a blast but we are beyond tired. Good thing my aunts come to town tomorrow! I am beyond excited.  They are going to spoil the little guys so much.  I am going to sleep the whole week away :-)

Getting kisses
This picture is from last week at t-ball.  You can see how involved they were.  I believe this constitutes "running bases".
It took Hunter a LOT of guts to touch this tortoise.  This was a big thing for him and I am so proud of him for doing it!
Ready for the pool!

Brian and I are going away from the boys for the very first time.  We are staying at our favorite hotel in Laguna to celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary.  I'm really excited about one-on-one time with Brian but SO sad to be leaving the boys.  I'm going to miss them!!  I know they're in great hands though, with my aunts - the only people I could imagine leaving them with! Thank you Aunt Chi Chi and Aunt Nonna!! I love you guys.
