Last Saturday we went to Chances 3rd birthday party. It is so much fun to go to these birthday parties because we have known one another since our babies were about 3 months old. The kids have very much grown up together and there are about 6 mommies who have stayed close over the past 3 years. Now a lot of us have second children, and we're watching them all grow up together too. The party was a dinosaur theme and it was so neat!
Look at this dessert table! She is so creative with the dinosaur eggs and dinosaur candiesHunter even got to ride a tire swing. I feel like I got to see him really being a kid on this swing.
Look at all the little faces through the gate. From right: Keagan, Gavin, Chance, Hunter and Landon
There was a reptile show! Hunter, Keagan and Lochner were enjoying it together.
And Gavin even joined them.
The moms: Becky, Liz, Bridget, Janeen, Lori, Me and Liv. What a wonderful group of girlfriends!
My Aunt came to visit. We had her for 5 days and it was horribly difficult to say "bye". She works with 3 year olds so she is just the most perfect, patient person. Hunter adored every minute he spent with her. When he woke up on Friday morning, after she was gone the first thing he asked me for was Chi Chi.
They played play-doh (and taught Landon about not eating play-doh).
Chi Chi also got to spend some quality time with Landon. He is getting such a strong little personality - with definite likes and dislikes. He was sharing her cereal in this picture but he wanted most anything she had. He trusted her to hold him - he even stayed home with her so I could enjoy church on Sunday! Unfortunately, the little guy is cutting molars and this made him a grumpy version of himself.
On Tuesday mornings Brian takes Landon to My Gym and I take Hunter to Mommy n Me. Aunt Chi Chi went with us and had won over all of the kids by the end of the class. Keagan and Hunter are dancing together at circle time.
Hunter crowned me with a wonderful hat.
Keagan crowned Hunter, but Hunter couldn't get the hat on Keagan's head!
On Wednesday mornings, Brian takes Hunter for a bike ride and then they go to My Gym. Chi Chi and I took Landon to mommy n me. It's one of my favorite things that I get to go to Mommy n me with each boy by ourselves. Anyhow, Landon's class was at the park and we did a little Easter Egg Hunt. So cute!
Landon and Quinlan sharing someone else's car.
Easter egg hunt time!
Running for it.
In the basket. He understands so much language, even though he prefers to point over talking.
Wow! Then he ate all of the goodies in his bag.
Aunt Chi Chi helped him find all the goodies inside his eggs.
On Wednesday afternoon we took Hunter for a bike ride in the park. The bike is his new obsession. I don't think he could be any cuter than he is, or any more in love with his bike!
Chi Chi chased him around the park, working off our excessive visits to Yogurtland. I took Landon inside the park so we could watch Hunter go by.
Daddy and his boys.
On Thursday morning we went on a field trip with a few friends to Tanaka Farms. We went on a wagon ride and did a tasting of fresh vegetables out of the organic garden. Then we went strawberry picking. I don't know what part was my favorite, but we had SO much fun!
Chi Chi, Hunter and Landon as strawberries
In the wagon
Me and my aunt (who everyone said looks like she's my sister).
Mmmmm. Scallions.
Fresh carrots - the best I've ever had. Honestly.
Hunter, Sarah and Casden.
Chi Chi, spinach and carrots.
Landon and his carrot - it must have felt so nice on his molars.
Hunter and Portia (and Landon)
Sarah, Casden and Kaya
Strawberry picking! Finally.
Kaya, Sarah and Casden picking strawberries.
Aunt Chi Chi sharing strawberries. You can eat as much as you can pick out in the fields!
Hunter feeding me a strawberry.
The group: Jessica, Portia, Kaya, Hunter, Me, Landon, Chi Chi, Casden and Sarah.
Me and my boys in the wagon.
Portia, Hunter and Kaya. A fun group! And Hunter loved hanging out with 2 older women!
Strawberry picking was a blast - as much fun as I remember it being. I can't wait to go again! I will miss my aunt and can't wait to see her again in August. My other Aunt is coming in May for my Ph.D. hooding ceremony! How excited am I?!
I don't have the energy to post another post right now, but we had a beautiful day today - 2 parties! I'm going to bed.
