Sealing

Helaman 10:7 Behold, I give unto you apower, that whatsoever ye shall bsealon earth shall be sealed in heaven; and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven; and thus shall ye have power among this people.

In the Mormon faith, a traditional marriage is a sealing of souls for time and eternity.  The idea is that families can be together forever, even after death, so long as they are sealed together in the Temple of our Lord.  In a "normal" Mormon family, people are married and Sealed in the Temple and their kids are born into the covenant.  Because Brian and I are converts, we were able to get sealed to our children.  This is the only time that children are allowed in the Temple.

Inside the Temple, you wear all white from head to toe.  It is pretty special to see everyone walking around as though in heaven, all pure and white.  You are reminded to be pure of heart, mind and thoughts.  To pray for forgiveness and to be forgiven for the negative thoughts and actions you have had throughout the week.  The Temple is an amazing place where you truly feel like you are in the Lord's house.

So, on June 9, 2012 Brian and I were sealed for time and eternity.  Not only are we sealed to one another, but we are sealed to our amazing children. In the Temple I wore my Temple dress.  We were able to leave the Temple in our whites and take photos with the kids.  It was pretty special and there is a photo below that looks amazing - we glow like we came out of heaven.

Afterwards I put on my wedding dress.  Why not wear it again?  It was a really fun night.  We went with 32 of our favorite friends to Lawry's for a yummy dinner.  Below are photos from the Temple that our friend Erik took for us.

Me and my love!

The beautiful Bigler family.  We would not be there without them and I love them so much! Luke, Bryson, Jen, Greg, Sally, Katy and Justin. I love every single one of these people as though they are actually my family.
 My beautiful dress.

Cute little man with no nap.
Sweet sleepy girl (also with no nap)
Me and Jen - who flew in from Rochester NY that morning with her husband and 3 boys.  What a trooper this girl is!

 I love this man.

 Kisses from my baby boy

Cowboy boots from Jackson Hole.  I needed to have Jackson with me on this special day.

Nate Hill.  Love this guy.  Another man who was truly instrumental in getting us to where we are.  He is a special person.
 Great friends!

Do we look like we just walked out of heaven?!
 My happy family.

We are so blessed to be a part of this church and to have the love and support of our friends.  We are just so happy to be where we are and we love every single person who came to our Sealing.  Love was in the air - and not just in our family.
