Maui!

Maui! A truly beautiful place.  This used to be my mom's favorite island and everytime I go, I am reminded of my beautiful Loli Ana (Lori Ann in Hawaiian.)  We had an amazing time there and thoroughly enjoyed all the beautiful sites.  The sand was amazing, soft and brown.  The pools were heated and the kid pool even had a slide! We went to many restaurants, one of which (pictured below) was over a fish pond and the kids could feed the fish. This was a highlight for the boys.
And the dessert was delicious!
Little Ms. Pig tails.
Brave little girl just LOVED the beach.  She ate the sand, crawled in the sand and threw the sand.  She would also crawl STRAIGHT INTO THE OCEAN.  Then she would cry when a wave lapped at her. Funny girl!
Off to see the ocean!
The boys loved making sandcastles.  I would dig "racecars" in the sand for them and they would race.  They had so much fun!

Oh - and Sand Angels.  It's the West coast version of snow angels.
Race car!
This was on the way to the airport.  I once heard that if you dress your kids in cute clothes, people won't be as annoyed by them.  I hope it works!
This was when we got to Hawaii - the first place we went was lunch!
TIRED girl!
The boys got Lei'd

Silly faces seem to be the best way to get us looking towards the camera.
Aloha!
View from the lobby.  Beautiful!

Straight to the pool!

Dinner in the Lobby lounge where there was a live hula dancer! Cool huh?!
I gave Aspen my Lei
Sand face!
I love this photo of Landon and Aspen "playing" together while Hunter and Daddy are in the ocean.
"Come play in the water!"

Pretty lady!
First night out - family photo
Landon is so easy in restaurants.  Give him cars/trains and he's happy.
A daddy and his girl
Ready for the beach!
Me too!
And Aspen too!

Back to the ocean
Me and my big man.  He is just such an awesome helper.  I don't know what I would do without him!
Digging digging digging

Love this hotel! They bring a pack n play to your cabana by the pool - all for free! It's so nice to contain Aspen so she doesn't crawl directly into the pool.
Lunch
Landon actually fell asleep with his head on my knee.  Poor kid was exhausted (he could have tried sleeping at night.)
We had to get a pineapple drink! So yummy!

Date night! Brian and I had 2 date nights and 2 date afternoons.  What is better than time alone together?
Sleepyhead! He got a little virus while we were gone and was sick for a day.
These 2 were still ready to play!

The only time during the entire day when Landon perked up was when we arrived at this tree.  He LOVED climbing it.

You can tell he isn't quite his usual fun self though.
Then we had dinner at Kimo's - a tourist favorite. Landon just wanted Mommy and Aspen just wanted Mommy, so Hunter joined the club and just wanted Mommy.  It was a less than enjoyable dinner (although very memorable.)
Every other morning we walked to breakfast (a 20 minute walk) so the kids were in the stroller.  How cute does Aspen look in the stroller like a big kid?!
Family photo take 2.

Does she like it? What do you think?

My 3 lovebugs.

Buying the kids.
Aspen loving her buried brother.
Sitting at a sand table.

Date night take 2. We stayed at the hotel and then went for a walk by the ocean.  So relaxing.

Landon was picking flowers for me.  Such a sweet boy. "here mommy! for you!"

A big girl with a big cup.
I don't have enough photos of Landon loving his pillow.
He wanted his photo taken. Cute boy.
Dinner at Mama's fish house.  Note: don't take 3 tired, hungry kids to a trendy popular restaurant. Hunter really really loves his sister.

Family photo take #3
Aspen's new thing is raspberrying.  She did it for about an hour on the plane ride home.  She makes me laugh SO hard. We lucked out and the person sitting next to us on the plane didn't show up and Aspen got her own seat. How lucky are we?!
It's nice being home! We leave again on Saturday for a completely different type of vacation, although equally exciting.  Can't wait!
