November 2nd: why am I thankful?
I am thankful for my friends. I have some great friends who I have known since I was 2, ranging to new friends that I have made in the past few months. Friends play a role that your family could never play and they are so important. My friends make my life feel more full. I love watching them get married, have children and do interesting things with their lives. I love having a handful of people who I can call anytime and know that they love me because they want to and not because they have to (as family does.)
Last night I wasn't able to post this because we went to San Diego to meet a bunch of friends and go for a run. Which brings me to November 3rd....
November 3rd: why am I thankful? I am thankful for my body. With all of the health problems impending in my future, I have realized that I need to be good to my body and appreciate the way it functions. I am thankful that I can run because my legs and knees don't hurt. I'm grateful that my heart is strong and can pump my blood and that my lungs work right so I can breathe. I'm grateful for more than just being able to run though. I'm so incredibly thankful that I could carry and birth my babies. I'm just so grateful for every little part of my body. Right now, I am healthy and I am not going to take that for granted. Pictures of the Color Run to come soon!
