High on life

I went for a walk today. Aspen was in the stroller and I was wearing Maisy. I wanted a Diet Coke, so we walked up to McDonalds. On the way there, Aspen fell asleep and Maisy was asleep. So I got my Diet Coke and decided to walk to Landon's school and to pick him up early.

On my walk, in a rare quiet moment, I was overcome with gratitude. I was thinking of the fact that all I've wanted in my life is to have 4 healthy children: 2 boys and 2 girls.  I feel like I've won the lottery - but better because I don't have to pay taxes on it!  I feel somewhat obsessed with taking photos of these children and trying to capture every single second of their lives.  I feel like I'm trying to hold water in my hands and I can't stop it from slipping away.

I get a lot of comments along the lines of "Gee, you have a LOT of kids." I always reply with something along the lines of "there is nothing more worth doing." It is so true. I just love being a mom. I love my babies. I love my husband. I love my life and I am So so grateful that Heavenly Father chose me to be these 4 sweet souls' Mommy!
