Life post-surgery

Easter pictures with the one and only Mark DeJohn. He always does a great job.  Maisy was freezing cold because we were under the pier. Aspen was trying to warm her up by rubbing her arms the way that I do when they are cold. Such a sweet moment.

Brian couldn't make it home from work, so I jumped into a picture or two, but the shoot was focused around the kids anyways. I love this picture with my little ones.
My brain isn't working correctly since my surgery. I hope it gets better soon. Anyhow, I can't remember if I posted this picture already or not.

I know. Weird. Am I totally grossing you out yet? This is my uterus. 1 tiny organ. The actual uterus is about the size of my first. It looks just like a longhorn to me, with my fallopian tubes sticking out the sides and the ovaries hanging off of there. Down below is the cervix. I loved this organ. It grew my 4 babies and it worked just perfectly.
I love the progression of these pictures. I was trying to take a picture of his cuteness, Sir Landon George.
Then Maisy came over to harass him.
And he just let her. Such a good boy. Why does he look so grown up?

The deliveries were out of this world. Megan arranged playdates and dinners for after the surgery. It filled up SO quickly that some people couldn't sign up. Because of that, many people brought breakfast, smoothies, chocolate, lunch, random gifts throughout the days and of course lots of meals!

Having my Dad at my surgery was a wonderful blessing. It's the most time we've spent together in about 15 years and I think we all enjoyed the time together.

Beautiful flowers from my aunts and grandparents

My pal. Wouldn't leave my feet.

 I think she's pretty scrumptious.

A breakfast delivery of pastries. Oh my goodness!

 And dinner! Yum!
 Chocolate from my cousins!

I think these really improved my mood. Really thoughtful gift :-)

From my sweet friend Jen! So thoughtful!

All of the yummy chocolate I got from See's (4 pounds!)
 Some of my flowers!
 More flowers! Succulents!
Beautiful flowers from my friend Eric.
All of the supplements I take. I think they're kind of crazy, but they give me energy and I feel good.

 Time with memo.

Thor wants to go for a walk. Our schedule is off, so he doesn't get out as much. He's begging. "Pleeeeease"

Here are the scars from the hysterectomy. One in my belly button and one on each hip bone. That's all I've got. I'm mostly stitched on the inside.

Yea, I catch my boys doing this cllllll the time. Snuggled in bed, reading books. Not.

As soon as I was told that I could drive, I got my hair done. I  chopped off anything "dead" and just want it to be healthy.

This girl is a saint. She is an awesome friend. She is an aunt to the kiddies. We are the luckiest family in the universe to have her.

Maisy woke up from her nap and no other adults were home. We just chatted with her in her crib until a responsible party (who can lift 5 pounds or more) came home.

Landon and I went to take car of the kitties at the shelter. He loves it there.  I totally overdid it and had to take a 2 hour nap when we got home.

Landon was in a play at school. He did such a good job even though he was incredibly nervous. I was so proud of him!

Hunter had his first sleepover at a friend's house that wasn't required for a medical reason. He slept over at Ty's house and they slept in a teepee. He even lost a tooth! What a great memory. We've known the parents for almost 8 years now, so we felt pretty safe about it.

Rachel took the kids to see Peter Pan!

They loved it. Maisy stayed home with us.

 I love these girls

Photo shoot at the beach! Mayra was super helpful. She is so good to me and the kids.
I can't believe my Maisy Mouse, the miniest mouse of them all, is going to be 2! Why must she get bigger?
 My handsomes

This girl - I love her.
On St. Patrick's day our eggs turned green, the water we drink turned green and we made a Leprechaun trap. Lenny the Leprechaun came to Aspen's school and turned the classroom upside down!!!

Oh - and how good does my Lucky Charm look? He's been working out 4 days a week and I think he looks HOT!

This one was in trouble for taking her poop out of the potty. Watch the progression of her incredibly adorable faces.

The girls went to a birthday party while the boys were also at a different birthday party. Now I'm in bed resting. The hardest part of this surgery has been the fatigue and the emotional distress.  Things that wouldn't have bothered me in the past, make me exhausted. I get so exhausted that my bones physically hurt and I want to cry. I cry all the time. About everything. We are trying to figure out my hormones and hopefully I will be on track before too long.  I'm 3 weeks 2 days out and am doing pretty well. I try not to get so frustrated with my body, but I want to run and jump and play. I miss my kids because I feel like such a party pooper. I know it's coming. I hate waiting.
