So last night at around 10 pm I decided that we needed to begin homeschooling today. Why? Well, if we didn't start today I think we would never start. There's always a reason not to. We are always too busy, or too much happening or too....something. So last night I read all the curriculum and prepared to begin this morning. When the kids woke up I said "We are starting homeschool today." Then they said "Ok, Mommy." Weird. Twilight zone.
Ok, so I went outside and exercised and then took a shower and we went out for breakfast. Then we came home and sat at the table and did work. For an hour. No one complained and the girls started doing work as well. I planned for this, and brought stuff that they could also do their own work. Then we went to the parade and to a big BBQ for lunch. When we got home, we rode bikes and played and then did more work. After that, we went back to bike-riding and swimming in the pool. I'd say that today was idyllic and perfect. Everyone cooperated. It was awesome. I'm excited to do it again!
