Sunny in February!

I uploaded the pictures from the end of the week to the beginning, so this blog will go in reverse. Here you see Hunter's great big, smiley blackberry face. What was I thinking when I gave him a blackberry and then went to do dishes?! Haha. There was blackberry all over the table too. At least he enjoyed it. I have so much trouble getting him to eat anything these days because he doesn't want to eat off of the spoon. He can feed himself little tidbits of food, which is good, but that's ALL he wants to do, I love the independence, but don't like the fact tht he won't eat from the spoon! What can you do?

In big news, Vicki, Nate and Tessa, moved to Boston. We were so sad to see them go. This was just after the farewell dinner on Sunday night.

Nate, Vicki, Tessa and Hunter

Here's the whole clan. I don't know when all of us will be together again, so it was nice that we could have a final dinner.
Tessa, being the big cousin, was trying to feed Hunter. As you can tell, Hunter was not having it!

He looks very leary of what she is feeding him. He's also in a bit of a daze because he JUST woke up and I put him in the high chair. Rest assured, she was feeding him one of his favorite snacks: Puffs!

"I just woke up!"

My beautiful niece feeding herself.

Hunter in a basket! This was in Emily's bike basket - isn't he so cute?

Shannon, a good friend from high school, came to visit. She's doing her residency in pediatrics so it was fun for her to give him the "once over" and assure me that I am feeding him enough.

Dr. Shannon and the little man

Ellen, a friend from college, was playing with the little guy.

On Saturday we went to a 1 year old birthday party for Tristan. Hunter plays with Tristan 3 days a week at the gym. The theme was "Curious George", how appropriate. There were only 2 other babies at the party - Tristan and Ty. So Daddy is holding onto Hunter and watching all the adults.

Tristan (the birthday boy) and Hunter - in his party hat. Evidently they love ice - who knew?

Hunter loving some ice. I was a little bit nervous about him eating the ice, but he was okay with it.

Tristan akes after his parents, evidently, and is getting himself some beer. I think after he was carded, he put it back.

Shannon and me at breakfast before we went to the party. Hunter is sleeping in his favorite spot - mommy's chest.

Shannon holding Hunter so that I can eat. Thank you!

This was funny. I thought I would take Hunter to this place where kids like to play. It has fake grass though and Hunter did NOT like it! He refused to move and wouldn't even put his hands down on the grass. So cute.

Hunter had the flu last week, as many of you know. He was starting to feel better on Wednesday afternoon. I felt so sad for him - he could hardly breath and was also cutting a tooth. It was a tough week - but he's better now!

Making a mess with the washcloths. I have to find a better place for them, huh?

Me reading a story to the pumpkin

The typical evening scene. Daddy, Hunter, and the pups all playing together.

Hunter has developed a deep love of the dogs. He is learning to pet "nice" as opposed to ripping out their fur. The dogs don't mind...most of the time. Nala is a good sport.

Here comes trouble....

On Thursday Jen and Katy and their 2 little boys came to visit! Jen and I were the best of friends in high school and we still keep in great contact. Katy and I were also close friends - so it was AWESOME to see them! Jen's baby (Daniel) is 19 months and Tommy turned 1 on the day they were at our house!

Us and our boys!

Hunter was so confused or intrigued by the big boys. They were walking all around and playing in his car. They are cousins, so they hang out with each other much more than he hangs out with other babies and he didn't quite know how to play with them I think. But he loved having them over to his house!

Daniel Gregory in the Bumbo

Hunter loves his car. Tommy and Daniel loved his car too. This is very popular boy toy.

Nala sleeping peacefully on our bed. Isn't she a sweetheart?

Hunter has a pretty good arm on him already and we're teaching him to throw. He plays catch really well...although sometimes it turns into fetch. I'm usually the fetch-er.

He is such a fast crawler now - here he is in action.

And he has discovered the doggy door. We're in trouble now!

Sick baby playing ball.
I was kind of cooped up last week, with the sick baby and all. This week I plan on getting out a lot more. Yesterday I went to the Grove with Hunter's gramma, so there will be pictures of that next week. Today we are headed to Mommy n Me class. What fun!
Have a lovely week. I'm wearing shorts and a t-shirt in February - how could anyone complain?

Wow...Vicki moved so far away! I love reading your blog. I miss you so much and at least reading up on your daily happenings makes me feel somewhat connected. We really need to get together -- let's celebrate Andrew's 1st birthday since you can't be at the party. :)

It's so fun to see where Hunter is at in comparison with Jude wince they're only a couple days apart. Can you believe their one year birthdays are just around the corner!! This was a great post by the way.

Jude also loves to clap, in fact he won't sign "more" anymore, he just claps :)

So I noticed you have a Bob. I'm looking to get a jogging stroller and wanted to get your opinion. Do you use yours for actual jogging? Do you love it - is it worth the money? You can Facebook message me or don't foget my blog is rockiebarry.blogpsot.com.

Hunter is adorable!
