Relaxation

This week was as wonderful as ever. Hunter is really growing into himself and his beautiful little personality. He is starting to sleep better at nighttime and eating a little more during the day (I realize that I just jinxed myself and he will probably not eat or sleep for a week because I said that). Ha. I love having a 9 month old and I can't believe how far he has come from the little infant baby he once was. He can do SO much! He can climb the stairs, cruise, stand without holding onto anything (and clap while standing!), feed himself, give himself a bottle - he amazes me. The very best thing he does is smile. I just LOVE his little smile. He frequently has his thumb in his mouth - I think he's teething again - because he likes to suck on it.
One of his favorite things to do is crawl to the stairs and then walk along with the help of the spindles.

Yes, even my adorable little man gets cranky sometimes. But look at how cute he is when he is done crying.

Aunty Vicki and Uncle Nate (who just moved to Boston) got him these pajamas for Christmas. They say "1" yr on them so I waited to put them on him, but they're getting awfully small. Actually, we just retired almost all of his 9 month clothes and he is officially in 12 month clothes. My little man is growing up so fast! His birthday party with be on Saturday, May 9th. I've already started thinking about decorations and what not. I can't believe it will be here before we know it.

This is one of my favorite things he does. Second to pulling the books off of the shelves, his favorite thing to do is pull on the wires underneath of this table. It's amazing to me that he has the coordination to get down low and peek under here. Then he fishes the wires out and I put them back. Then we start again....

On Saturday night we were supposed to go out for date night. We've decided that we need to start going out twice a month, just the two of us. We need to have a healthy, happy relationship that doesn't ONLY focus on Hunter. So, we're going to start date nights twice a month. However, Jo (our favorite babysitter) was busy on Saturday so we brought Hunter to a nice steakhouse with us. He fell asleep in the first 10 minutes so I held him for the entire dinner. Brian carried him to the car after dinner was done.

Before he fell asleep, he was in quite a daze while getting his bottle.

Is it just me, or do his cheeks look a little bit chubby here? :-)

There isn't much better than a Daddy's love

The puppies are in love with Hunter. Hunter loves them too but he HATES being licked on his face. Thor just wants to lick him all the time. Clearly, Hunter is sick of it - he's taking cover!

One night we sat outside by the fireplace. Hunter woke up so we went and got him and the 3 of us sat peacefully....for a few minutes anyways. Then we had to play with him!

On Sunday we had brunch with Gramma and Grandpa. Hunter and I both wanted the same toy. Really though, there's no better way to make the baby laugh then to do something totally silly.

It's Monday. Hunter is napping and I'm sitting in bed with 2 puppies curled up at my feet. I'm thinking about how wonderful my baby is, how sweet my puppies are and how lucky I am to have such a terrific husband. It is so nice that he lets me stay home with Hunter and the dogs, while he works so hard. Brian is truly an inspiring person and he makes me want to be the best version of myself. When I think about growing old, I always think about how lucky I will be to grow old with him by my side (or pushing my wheelchair).

Before I started thinking about that, I went to the mall with Bridget and Keagan. Keagan and Hunter are definitely going to be buddies. If for no other reason then because we give them no choice in the matter :-)
