Ok, ok, I'm behind. I'm trying to catch up! Desperately. Here is the post for Landon's birthday through the end of the month.
On Landon's birthday, a Tuesday, we had donuts at Becker's (so yummy). The boys each picked their favorites and then we dropped Hunter off at school. Don't they look so happy to have donuts? I'm not a health nut, but I don't generally allow donuts.
Aspen is enjoying the donuts. Ok, no she wasn't but I have proof she was there. Such a sweet girl.
Then Brian took Landon to My Gym. When he came home, he opened his presents without big brother around trying to steal the spotlight. Every 2 yr old should be surrounded by this many gifts. Ha. He was so overwhelmed. He opened maybe 3 or 4 and was done.
He LOVES the baseball mitt and bat!
Brian ended up working late that day and we had planned on going to Disneyland so I didn't know what to do for dinner. I decided to take them to In N Out and watch the planes land. They sat in the front seat with me and were pleased as punch! Every plane they screamed and said "That's my favorite!"
Then we had cake. Yes, such a healthy day. It made Landon happy though so I was all for it.
The next day, Hunter had a dr. appt in San Diego so we went to Sea World. It was really fun and Brian wins the Daddy of the year contest for being so good with them! It was a great day...mostly. There was nothing wrong with Hunter's ears, which was good news and bad news. I was kind of hoping that there was something to fix, so he could be more comfortable in his own body. It's good that everything is growing correctly though, as the immunologist had some questions about it. Landon fell in the fountain at the hospital and was completely soaked - and it was COLD outside. I felt pretty dumb for not stopping him from standing so close to the fountain. Oh well.
Us at Sea World.
Then we went to my favorite ice cream place - Ghirardelli. Or Geraldi if you're my aunt ;-)
The boys ENJOYED it!
So did we!
That Saturday we went to dinner with some good friends, the Halls. They have 2 little boys who are Landon's age. Brian went to high school with Doug. When I said I wanted to be Mormon, Brian face booked him and asked if I was crazy (Doug is LDS). We've been hanging out with them ever since!
YUM!
Then Meema and Peepaw came over to give Landon his gifts on that Sunday. Meema even got one of these beloved Landon cuddles. Such a sweet kid.
Yay for presents!
Last week I went to the botanical gardens (Huntington Gardens) with a few friends. It was SO much fun and stressful at the same time. We each have a boy who is 3.5-4 and one who is ~2. 6 crazy boys running through the gardens were quite a scene. Most people thought they were adorable and stopped to ask - Are those ALL boys? Or "What do you have in there? Another boy?" or "How many boys are there?!"
Kieran and Hamilton are best buddies.
The 6 boys. I dare you to try to get a photo of 6 boys. Seriously. This is the best I got. You can somewhat see everyone's face. At the very beginning of the day, my friend Kate said "Let's see how many times today we can count to 6." I see 6 sitting boys.
Beckett and Landon are about 3 weeks apart. They are starting to be of an age where they interact with one another. Normally Landon follows Hunter everywhere he goes. On this occasion, Beckett and Landon took off to wave to the gardeners. So cute.
The crew. 6 boys, 3 mommies (I'm not pictured), 1 baby girl.
I think the Japanese gardens were the biggest hit. There was a beautiful pond in the middle with fish in it. All kinds of beautiful places to sit provided a perfect backdrop for the boys to sit and torment one another. Here are Landon, Kieran and Rhys (brothers).
Hunter was loving on Rhys. So sweet.
My boys climbed up on this rock to look into the pond. They were right next to the cherry blossom tree. It was really pretty.
Landon and Beckett playing together again. Maybe they'll be best little buddies :-)
I see 6 small tushies!
And 6 boy faces (Rhys is standing slightly behind the group.)
I love the fun times I get to have with my friends. We had a blast at Huntington, although looking back at it is more fun that it was while we were there. It took me 90 minutes to get home, which allowed for a lot of time to reflect on the experience. Somehow, traffic isn't as miserable when you're safe and your boys are strapped into carseats.

nice counting! :)
i had to laugh about your traffic comment. now traffic is almost a relief...kids strapped in, etc.
on the other hand, boooo! to LA traffic--that 110 stops me from all that Pasadena/zoo fun.
