We've had an awesome few weeks in town! We visited Disneyland, the Grove, threw and Easter party, had Easter, and celebrated Brian's birthday! We are some busy busy bees!
We went to Disneyland with the Hunts and the Spjutes. It is so special to have friends in the Ward who have kids the same exact ages as ours!
My cute, sweet boy. How I love this snuggle bug. He talks more everyday - sometimes using 6 or 7 word sentences! I've never met such a sweet child in my entire life. He actually listens to me when I ask him not to do something (mostly). He wants to eat whatever is on my plate and mostly refuses kid food. His developed pallet has made oatmeal, soup and chili his absolute favorites. It was so warm that day that we had to get ice cream. I love how the kids are being completely genuine in this photo. Especially my goofy Hunter! He is such a silly boy and he frequently says "I am so silly!" He makes me laugh so often. I love watching him make friends with kids at the park. He has such an outgoing personality and he is always willing to approach kids to say "hello" and ask them to play. He likes to share his scooter or bike when we are at the park. It actually surprises me how good he is when talking to new friends. He really likes to play with older kids and is (evidently) very popular at school. I'm so proud of this vivacious, big-hearted, kind child.
Look! Jasmine has 2 boys and a girl too. A really really cute little girl.
Me and my boys on the Little Mermaid.
The 2 yr olds. Landon played in a water fountain and got too wet to wear a shirt.
Baby bunny!
We had the best Easter party ever. We threw it at the McPhie's house!! It couldn't have been any more fun than it was - great big backyard and tons of happy kids!
Landon and all his girlfriends. He sat down first and all these little girls joined him.
Hunter wanted to eat with Brandon and Ryan.
My beautiful friend Steph. Her son, Jack, is 1 day younger than Aspen.
All the eggs to be hidden!
Cute cute Tami hiding eggs.
Me hiding eggs
Jasmine hiding eggs
Look how many we have!! TONS!
Beautiful Megan and Baby Kate.
Landon really enjoyed hunting for eggs. His cute little personality - he just wanted to sit down and open his eggs and eat them. So cute.
William - one of my absolute favorite people. He takes such good care of Landon and loves on Aspen whenever we are there. He's a good guy.
"I hunting. I hunting."
Poor kid took the shoes and socks off and sat down to itch immediately - lots of eczema. Luckily I could distract him with eggs.
My happy little peanut. She is seriously the happiest, sweetest, most adorable baby!
She is pretty much sitting up on her own, but she does tip over. It is going too fast.
"Why would you dress me this way?"
My love turned 32 yesterday! 32!! We've been together almost 11 years. Isn't that wild? His mom and Billy brought over this adorable bunny cake.
On Thursday Brian was able to watch Landon and Aspen so that I could go help at Hunter's school for his Easter party. It was So cute.
He sat at the head of the table and his girlfriend, Avery, sat at the other head of the table.
This is Ms. Lubs. We love Ms. Lubs. I think Hunter JUST stopped calling her "Ms. Boobs" - poor, poor Ms. Lubs is even made fun of by the other teacher.
Hunting! It's in his name!
I made Brian a completely chocolate cake. It took me 4 days to make all the parts - the handmade truffles, whipped ganache, chocolate glaze and buttermilk chocolate cake. It was So good. I had a little get together for him on Friday night.
The Brandons.
Daddy and the cake
On Saturday we drove down to San Diego for a birthday party. Kai turned 4 and Fiona turned 2. It was fun to play with them at a park. Look at the princess. She is so precious.
Waiting in line for the Piñata. I have to say, pinatas are all the rage but I just hate them. I spend my whole life telling my kids not to hit, not to push and not to eat things off the ground. Then we give them a bat, push thru the crowds and eat candy off the ground. That being said, my kids LOVE them. Here they patiently waited their turn.
Landon is swinging at the piñata.
Hunter had his turn!
Hunter and Kai - buddies for life!
Landon and Fiona.
Of course, since we were down there, we had to stop by the Navy base and see my cousin. We ran out of time to go to a nice lunch so we ran for some fast food and then dropped her back at the base. She loved seeing Aspen (and the feeling was mutual judging from that smile).
Me and my cousin
That night we drove back and went out to dinner at the Cut in Beverly Hills. It's Brian's favorite restaurant and was a real treat. Then we walked around where we used to live, strolling up and down the streets of Rodeo and Beverly drive. It made me kind of miss our life up there - pre-kids, where we could go for long walks and eat out whenever we wanted.
Easter morning! Lots of baskets!
Landon found a chocolate bunny!
This is the best picture I got of the kids in their Easter best. Such little cuties. I feel like it expresses Landon's fun little carefree personality and Hunter's silly personality, but you cannot see, in this photo, my sweet little angel baby. Aspen is a treasure. All 3 of them are and I am the luckiest mom on Earth.
We're getting ready to leave again! I cannot wait to go see my family in Florida. Then we go on a Disney cruise and to Disneyworld! Life is good and the kids are going to love every minute!!!
