Tahoe with the Caldwell family!

We just went to Squaw Valley to stay with some friends of ours who live in Hermosa Beach.  We had an amazing time and we have pictures to prove it!
This photo is of me in my new dress with Aspen.  I love this dress.
When we got to Squaw, Aspen needed a nap so we left her with the Caldwell family (they were in for the day) and took the boys tubing.  They were SO excited to see snow. It is cute.  I think they love snow as much as I do!

Pelting me with snowballs from the moment he got out of the car until he got on the tubes.

So excited! (Landon in red, running to tell me about it)

When we got home, snuggle bug was waiting for us.  Our friend's house is amazing.  It is literally RIGHT across the street from Squaw Valley and a short 3 minute drive to park and go inside. It had a beautiful view of the mountain and a huge fireplace.  So beautiful.
Our friends also have 3 kids, age 4.5, 3, and 22 months.  It was so nice traveling with people who are used to kids who are in the same stages.  These 6 kids got along better than mine do at home! There wasn't one fight or problem for the entire 4 days we were there.
Sean and Hunter were good buddies
 The 6 kids + Emily
These are their "sweet" faces, according to Isla.  They were excited to go skiing.  On Sunday we had a friend of mine from college come watch Aspen and Kevin (their youngest) and the 4 big kids took a lesson together.  They were all ready to go!

"Let's hit the slopes!"  This was Hunter's second time skiing and Landon's first.  Because he wasn't quite 3 yet, he couldn't go to the Kid's club.

We got to spend the entire day on Sunday and Tuesday skiing together.  It was super fun.  Here we are on the lift.
My big skier! His second time skiing in his whole life.
 Look at him go!

When we got home, the boys wanted to play with their snowball makers.
Hunter went back to ski school on Monday.  He did great!

 Yum yum!
 Trouble. I love that face.

On Monday, Landon had a private 1 hour lesson.  He had so much fun and his instructor, Christian, said he did a fantastic job! He even got a medal at the end.
Then the kids were cold so we put them all in the hot tub with Emily while I cooked dinner.
Ready to play in the snow.  We didn't suit her up in her snow pants, but she's pretty much the cutest thing I've ever seen!
I made a slide on the side of the hill and went down it with her.  She was so excited that I didn't mind my wet, cold butt.
Who is my big man?! Landon is!
On Monday night we got a babysitter and snuck out to dinner.  We so enjoyed staying with these wonderful people.  I am also excited that Emily and I will be taking our 4 big kids to ski every Wednesday for the rest of the season!
On Tuesday, Hunter went back to kid's club (Squaw Kids) and I took Landon skiing with me on the bunny hill.  This gave Brian the opportunity to work on his form on the little hill.  It was HARD work skiing with Landon between my legs, but we had a magnificent time.  He just wants to go fast, as his ski instructor pointed out to me.  He doesn't care about learning to wedge because he would rather just point his skis straight down the mountain and go.  I need to keep my eyes on this guy.

Steve took Isla on the bunny hill too! She did great!

Our amazing skier is now a level 2 skier, which means he can stop, make turns, and put his skis on by himself! So impressed!
There he goes, in his wedge.
The view from the top of the mountain - see the lake in the distance?
The sign says "No beginner beyond this point."  It is fair to say that I dragged Brian down some hills that were tough for him, but easy for me.  I wanted to ski with him but I couldn't hang out on the beginner hill! He also needed to be pushed.  He did GREAT and was skiing intermediate hills by the end of the last day.
 Brian and the lake.
Hunter got a medal for doing such a great job at ski school! I wish I could bottle his excitement.
On Tuesday night we decided to leave town.  We stayed until bedtime, took the kids for ice cream and had lots of fun and then drove through the night.  This made more sense to us than waking up at 5:30 and trapping the kids in the car awake all day.  We are sad to leave! Here are 5 of the kids. Isla got hurt right beforehand and wasn't in the picture. Cute kids, huh?
 Family photo!
 Eating ice cream!
My 3 sweet babies. So cute, right?
We had a wonderful time! I love going out of town with my family.  Their house was amazing and the company was great too.  We loved skiing and I'm glad my boys have a love of skiing, like I do.

Our next trip is just me and Brian...for a whole weekend!!!.....to Vegas! We have a lot planned and I cannot wait!
