Wow I haven't uploaded in too long. Sorry for the combined post but I wanted to get these on the blog.
We threw an Easter egg party with the McPhies at their house. It was really fun. This is Myler and he LOVES Aspen.
This is the CUTEST outfit. She wouldn't keep the boots on, sadly enough.
Setting up for the hunt
On the loose
Do you see any eggs?
Helping Aspen
Landon finding eggs
Hunter came right from his baseball game (where he hit 3/3 pitches without a tee!)
On Sunday we got Chi Chi from the airport! The kids were SO excited. CHi Chi is one of their absolute FAVORITE people (mine too!) We went for a long walk while the kids drove their car.
When we picked Chi Chi up we thought we would take her for a bite to eat. They had a toy store there and she wanted to spoil them immediately. They were So excited to play with their new toys.
Aspen and Chi Chi bonding.
Rocking their babies.
On Monday I took Hunter out of school and we went to the Grove to see the Easter bunny. They loved it. The picture is downstairs but I'll get it soon.
And the 4 kids.
Landon was lucky to have a back to ride.
At the fountain.
On Tuesday Chi Chi went to school with the boys and I took Aspen to mommy n me where she had an easter egg hunt.
Aspen and her boyfriend, Jack.
The kids were "resting." Only 2 of them were resting. Can you guess which one was wound up and crazy? Hint: he's eating a marshmallow.
It's so hard to be mad at him for picking the flowers when he presents them to me like this.
Making rice krispy treats. While Chi Chi was here we also made homemade coconut cake and sugar cookies. We had a LOT of sweets. It was fun. My pants are tight.
Trying her first bite of rice krispy treat.
On Monday night I went on a date night with Brian. On Tuesday, I went on a date night with Chi Chi. We had so much fun!
On Wednesday morning we went strawberry picking - a tradition for the past 3 years now.
Aspen's mommy n me buddies, Grady and Ryan.
The group.
On the wagon ride.
Enjoying the fresh produce from the garden.
We brought Kat with us, so Hunter stuck by her the whole time. What a gentlemen.
Who doesn't eat plain green onions and cilantro?
Kat was on a mission!

Me and my kiddos

Chi Chi and the boys
Landon enjoying some leftover bok choy.
A bunch of the kiddos!
We got home and rested for a little bit before making sugar cookies. We were having fun. This is my "oh FUN!" face. it was anything but. Chi Chi then took the boys outside so I could make cookies in peace.
And then Chi Chi brought them in to decorate them.
They played "hide the eggs"
And Landon ate 12 tons of icing.
On Thursday we had a busy day. Thursdays are always busy for me. This was at baseball practice. Then Chi Chi went to help in the outfield. I was texting with Brian when, he showed up at practice! What a FUN surprise! We were all excited to see him, as he leaves the house at 5:30 on Thursday mornings so we don't get to see him.
Aspen was playing dress up. She was very particular about wearing the helmet and the bat and then switching to the mitt and ball. She must really be figuring out what they're doing!
Hunter "batting"
Put me in Coach!
Team break!
Daddy!!!!
So many people ask about the infusions. Given that we had a very successful blood drive yesterday, and we do infusions on Saturdays, I will explain the steps. First, we give him a big dose of Benadryl and Motrin, to help with pain and allergic reactions. Next, we put numbing cream on his little body wherever he decides to get the infusions that week. There are 2 needles and we rotate where we put them on his body. We did this at about 1:05. Then we wait for about 45mins-1 hour until the medicine has kicked in and the numbing cream is at work. He can't be too wiggly while the medicine is setting in or the bandages burst. So we usually turn on a movie.
These are the components.
I have a bottle of antibodies that I store in the fridge and this vial. So I have to get all of the antibodies into the vial.
After I get the antibodies into the vial, I connect all of the tubing. There is a tube that connects to the vial and then that tube connects to a bifurcated tube. The bifurcated tube has the needles on them. That's what you can see in my hand, the needles. When it's time, I take off the numbing cream and clean it with a wipe and then alcohol pads. Then I put a skin barrier on it, which protects his skin from the stickiness of the bandages. Then I put the needle in his skin and put another bandage over the top. We then wait. Today the infusion is taking an extra long time - it is 3:40 and we are just finishing. So it took us from 1:05-3:40 to complete the entire process. He's a good sport though.
And we're lucky that the Osbourne's were nice enough to bring us dinner and a gift/treat. Hunter loves his Pez dispenser and microphone. The Shepherd's pie looks amazing. I'm sad I had to miss a baby shower today but the kids were out of control and not feeling terribly great, so I had to stay. Priorities.
