Punta Mita 2014

What a trip. It had a rough start, but when we finally got there (a day late), it was awesome. We had an incredibly fun and relaxing time. Every day we had to make the difficult decision of: big pool, lazy river pool, or beach. We had a little bit of a walk into the resort everyday and that allowed me to get some good exercise. :-)

Here are 4 of my favorite faces. Oh my goodness- How I love them.

At the main restaurant there is this ship, so the kids don't need to sit and wait for their food to come. We ate here more for the ship than for the food!
 Sunset. Every night. Gorgeous.

Snuggling in the little clamshell at our residence. We even had a little tiny pool. It wasn't big, but it was enough for us.
 Daddy and Aspen
 My Mouse.

Lunch by the pool (or beach) everyday. Kids under 5 eat free, so we didn't hesitate to order lunch and second lunch (or sundaes) every day.

And they set up a pack n play by the pool for me, so Maisy could nap.
At 2 everyday they have complimentary snow cones and at 3 they have complimentary homemade ice cream. This was a big hit with my little people.
Then you eat the ice cream in the hot tub. It's WHAT YOU DO!

I don't love ice cream, so I had a fresh coconut with coconut water in it. So healthy.
Did I mention that the whales are migrating? We saw at least 50 whales (Humpback) jumping out of the water, splashing with their tails, etc. It was incredible.
Lazy River pool - Landon's favorite.

Brian told them it was my birthday, so we got a chocolate chocolate cake. I am sad to say that we did finish this cake.

 Snack time! For all 4.
Oh my goodness. This little naked baby. My heart. So loved.
Date night! B and I had 2 date nights and 2 date days. It was really nice to get just a few hours alone with my hubby.
 Bahia restaurant - so delicious
 Fire roasted garlic shrimp
 Pumpkin soup
Mahi maui with a garlic marinade, broccoli and brussel sprouts.
 Relaxin in the hammock
 Running!! Busy busy running!
After our walk to the tide pools. His bucket is full of the bounty. Sea glass is thought to be the most valuable.
All 4 kids playing quietly together. I had to capture it.
 "Yuk it what I found!"

 Maisy in a hammock!

Iguanas! Everywhere! And they are HUGE!
The adult pool. We definitely spent a kid free afternoon here. It was incredible. So quiet! And no one splashed me!

I made us wait a day to eat the cake. So we finally ate it on Tuesday. YUM!

And Landon helped Aspen to some whipped cream.

Me and 4 in the pool. So brave, I am.

 The boat!

This girl reminds me of Landon, with her comfort in the water. She LOVES it. She is more relaxed in the pool than out of it. And I didn't DARE get in without bringing her.
Quintessential Aspen. Sometimes you snap a photo that embodies a person's entire personality. 2 parts fun, 3 parts adorable, 1 part mischievous.
And this is quintessential Maisy. I want to eat her beautiful little face.
She was so proud of herself. I left corn and beans in the bottom of my salad bowl (carbs!) and she tipped the bowl over and ate them! Smarty.
 I got tattoos in Mexico.
In the beach cabana (they're complimentary, BTW).
 Me and my girl
 These 2!
On "the rock" - pictures to follow.

Sometimes, everyone just NEEDS a strawberry smoothie while resting in the beach bed. I mean, it would be neglectful NOT to get it for them.
 Sweet sleeping face.
This is where I got my coconuts.
 She ADORES the hot tub!
This iguana was so creepy. Hunter spotted it because it's yellow.
 Ice cream sundae? Sure!
 Date night take 2.
 Tuna Blanca
This was Brian's shrimp. They cook it in front of you. Uh um. I was concerned we were going to lose him.
Brian said it was my birthday, so they brought out creme brûlée on a surfboard, with a firework, and a giant present made out of sugar. Seriously.
The last day was my favorite day. We played at the beach and at the pool. The boys went to the kids' club for a bit while the girls napped with the babysitter. Brian and I snuggled in the cabana and went to the pool and enjoyed lunch with no children.
Then he played beach volleyball with them!

Ms. Maisy taking on the world
 Doesn't she look so smart?!

Fast! Look at that running form. I think he takes after his Mama.
We saw some baby turtles hatch and make their way down to the ocean! It was amazing!
 Ice cream sundaes!

 Snuggles!

And that was that. We are home. It's my birthday. I am 33. I welcome every day and every year that Heavenly Father allows me to live this glorious life. So grateful for all I have and for my beautiful family.
