Road trip to Vegas with my girlfriends - how amazing is that?! I haven't had a girls' trip in 8 years. I've never left Brian overnight with the kiddos. This was amazing. First off, I would like to say that Brian is the most amazing husband ever. He handled the kids like a champ. I came home to clean kids, a clean house, clean laundry, a clean car and a homemade healthy dinner. He outdid himself and I think that he is officially a better housewife than I am.
So on Thursday morning I picked up Megan, Lindsay and Sally and we drove to Vegas to meet Tami and Rachel. Trisha flew in later that night and M.E. came on Friday morning.
In N Out. We sat here for about 45 minutes because we didn't have any kids with us and we lost track of time!
Landon was super sad that I was leaving town. He asked me to take Pirate's Booty (his favorite snack) with me and to think of him whenever I looked at it. In exchange, he wanted to know what I would leave with him. I offered for him to sleep in one of my shirts and he immediately knew which one he wanted to wear. Such a cute boy. I took pictures of myself snuggling the Pirate's Booty and sent them to Brian and Landon's teacher so he knew I was thinking of him.
This is a rest stop. I won't name names, but someone has to pee every 10 minutes. It's not me.
We're here! We stayed at the Palazzo which was amazing. We had connecting rooms so all 8 of us were in the 2 rooms. That made it easy to stay up way too late, talking and giggling.
This baby chick reminded me of Maisy.
We walked to the Bellagio on Thursday and enjoy the conservatory and chocolate shop. We couldn't find our way out of the hotel for about 2 hours and finally ended up at the Aria. When we located the Strip, we decided we were too hungry to walk all the way to where our reservations were, so we just ate at the Aria.
Chocolate shop
We celebrated Sally and Megan's birthdays as much as we could. This is at Sage in the Aria. It was a really yummy, high end restaurant. They did a nice job of accommodating our group that doesn't drink and needed separate checks. The food was really gourmet, and I loved it!
After dinner, we walked over to the Linq. This is my favorite new up and coming part of Vegas. It feels clean and there aren't people trying to hand you cards of naked ladies. Also, there are really good dessert places here.
We decided to call ourselves "Rebellious Women" and used the catch phrase "Well-behaved women rarely make history." This trip was historical.
The "high roller" - we didn't ride it, but it was cool to see.
Ice cream from Sprinkles!
Watching the spray paint guy make art!
Ready for bed (with the Pirate's booty!)
On Friday morning, Megan and I went to see my stepmom and Dad. It was really fun to introduce her to them, as they haven't met any of my friends. Here is a selfie of us with Kathey. I just love her to pieces.
We saw the office, went shopping and then had lunch (fresh guacamole!)
Me and Pops
The 3 of us. Love these 2! (Cheeeeeeeeeese)And one for Landon....
One of my friends from high school owns the Strip Gun Club. He comped me and a friend to come shoot! It was amazing. So after we left my Dad and Kathey, we went to shoot some ridiculous guns.
Me and Justin. Love this guy. Will see him in 2 weeks at Jeff's wedding! (He's the Best Man)
This guy was pretty awesome about introducing each weapon and explaining what to expect and how to best shoot with it.
Megan shot all the same guns that I shot. She's used to rifles and shotguns, so this handgun and the big automatic weapons were new for her.
Such a cutiepie.
Asking questions
That's a big gun.
The "Scar" from the Belgium army. Fully automatic (if you want it to be). It was L-O-U-D. And even though it doesn't have a huge kickback, it almost knocked me over at first.
I did pretty well!
Megan bought us these awesome necklaces. They say "Orange you glad we're bestie?" Here is us trying to capture that.
We got back to the hotel in time to catch these bars down by the pool.
Girls' night out! We went for dinner and then to a Luau at the Treasure Island.
Buddy V's - We LOVED it here.
We shared the veal chop parmigiana. I think 2 other people could have shared it and we would have been fine.
Celebrating the birthday girls.
And on to a very Elvis luau....
Birthday celebration....
And the dancer gave me a twirl at the end
Rachel and Tami drove down to meet us from St. George.
My BF from high school was so sweet to come meet us for the show and a walk to Bellagio. It was SO good to see Jen!
And on Saturday morning some went to the pool, some went to the gym, I had a little breakfast, and then we drove home. We stopped 3 times on the way home, so it wasn't a quick drive and I think we were all happy to be delivered back to our cute little families.
Duck face
Last picture of the trip.
This was an amazing trip. We had so much fun and I learned a ton about my friends and about myself. We laughed so much and so hard. These trips really shouldn't be legal. Man am I grateful for all the husbands who made this possible.

That's awesome! Good job Brian! I'm trying to think of when it was that we went to Vegas and it must have been at least 8 years ago. Crazy!
P.S. It says that someone from Easton, PA looked at your blog last night. It wasn't me. Do you have two friends in Easton??
