Lots more firsts this week. We went to the park with Ryan and Nora and put the babies in the swings. Nora is an old hand at it,

While Hunter seemed confused! He wanted to explore the whole seat...with his mouth! I definitely took him out soon after he put his mouth on the seat. GROSS!
I started walking the hills to and from town. The way I walk it's about 2 miles in each direction, but VERY hill-y. This is the top of the hill - and my beautiful view. Who can complain about walking when this is their view? (ANd it's October no less!)

After the walk to town Hunter wanted OUT of his stroller. This is the jogging stroller and it's really nice to push on long walks. Hunter doesn't seem to agree!

Hunter and Nora were going to Sadie Hawkin's! Haha. Ok, just kidding, they happen to have the same pattern so we thought we had to dress them up and pose them. How cute!
But then Hunter wanted to eat Nora...
And Nora wanted to eat Hunter...

Aren't they a cute little couple?!
Here we are at Mommy and Me class. Hunter is enjoying some singing.

On Thursday we went to the Grove to see Gramma. Hunter was interested in the family sitting behind us though, instead of Gramma's silly faces. He should start rolling over consistently pretty soon here. He lkes to get on his side and then go back to his back. I don't know why he won't go over. Although tonight he has started turning entirely. Anyhow, here he is playing with this old fashioned toy that Ryan bought for him. He LOVES it!

At Peet's he decided to sit on the table. He was moving all around, picking things up behind him...he really has a big personality and isn't afraid to express it!
Me and my little Love.

The puppies are ready for the park. Notice that Thor has taken my spot in front and I sit in back between Nala and Thor. This is to reduce licking.

We finally got to see Uncle Richie. I met Uncle Richie when my brother went to Kindergarten. They were the best of friends growing up, so Tiffany (who is coming this next week), me, Richie and Jeff all hung out CONSTANTLY. It was really fun for him to meet Hunter.
Hunter is sitting. He's getting MUCH better at sitting and often doesn't use his arms. The doctor says he is far ahead of schedule on this!
I think a naked baby is the cutest baby. He really likes cloth toys - I think they feel good on his little gums. He also loves some of Nora's plastic Bright Starts toys. You never know what they're going to like (or for how long). He sure is cute though, isn't he?

Brian and I decided that we did actually need some time alone. It wasn't that we wanted to be away from Hunter, so much as we wanted to spend some time together. We decided in my group of friends to create a babysitting ring. This way we don't have to pay for a babysitter, and we trust each other's parenting. So, Brian and I had dinner alone. It took about an hour and 15 minutes from the time we left Hunter to the time we returned. Hunter was enjoying his sleepover with Nora....

Rhett and Ryan even took him on a walk! He had fun and enjoyed being with Nora and her parents for awhile. I had an easier time with it than I expected. Brian and I were ready to be able to talk to one another without having to bounce a baby!
A good surprise came when Anjali told me that she was in town! We were able to visit with her for a short hour before we went to the pumpkin patch. Here are the 3 of us...
Finally we went to the pumpkin patch. Can you find the baby? He is going to be a pumpkin for Halloween, so we thought we'd get him dressed up for the patch. He was a good sport about our photo session. And he's the cutest pumpkin EVER!!!

Mommy and baby at the patch!

I met with my advisor today and we spoke at length about my future. I can't justify giving up my degree entirely, given the amount of work I have done on it. So, depending on the day, I feel like I want to graduate. Anyhow, we've decided that I can take a leave of absence and work at my own pace for the next little bit until I finish what I need to finish. I think this is a good compromise (for now), but we'll see what happens. I want more little ones, you know?

I also decided last week that I am no longer rocking Hunter to sleep, which he learned pretty easily. I also decided that he isn't sleeping in our bed with us anymore, which isn't going over quite as well. I'm trying to prepare him to sleep in his own crib in the near future. He's good at napping in there, but I'm not sure that I'm ready for him to sleep in a different room for us, despite the fact that I think it would be better for both of us....
Next week (this week) will be a lot of fun! Tiffany, who I have known since I was 5, is coming out on Wednesday and Thursday to meet Hunter. I'm SO excited!

Ok... so the picture of Hunter in his pumpkin costume sitting in the patch is one of the cutest things I have ever seen! It brought the biggest smile to my face. What a doll! I cannot wait to see you in a few weeks! I am FINALLY going to meet Hunter. p.s.- thanks for your nice comment on my blog- so sweet of you to say that :)
