Another week in Paradise

Sometimes, quite often actually, I wonder how I got so lucky. Sometimes I think I'm living in a dream, and I'll wake up any minute to realize that I'm living some other life. Then I remember that I actually don't sleep at night, so I can't possible be dreaming. Anyhow, I love my life and I feel so lucky to have all that we do. My husband and my baby are the icing on a perfect, lovely cake.

Hunter and I were playing in bed one night when Daddy started taking pictures. He is really sitting these days - for long periods of time. He LOVES water bottles (chewing on the cap) and he's obsessed with the dogs. Oh, and he loves drinking water out of my cup, but I'm trying to get him adjusted to the sippy cups. Anyhow, here he is:

The puppies want to get to him any chance they get. I've been letting them lick his feet. Today I let him lick his face because I know I need to get over it and let them lick him. I'm just worried about his little baby system!
On Tuesdays we go to the Farmer's market with the other mommies. Hunter and I were playing in the fountain with Ryan and Nora, Joy and Hudson.

Beautiful Nora is enjoying the water too. By the way, before playing in the fountain I was changing Hunter's diaper and he peed all over Joy (who was a first timer to the group). Then, while Nora was playing in the fountain Hunter threw up and Nora was playing with it. Right after that, Hunter turned around and sneezed all over me. I was so proud of his accomplishments. Ha. Lots of body fluids! Doesn't he look so relaxed after all of this? I've been walking the hills from home to town. Hunter actually rode in the big stroller all the way home!
On Wednesday we went to the pumpkin patch with my mommy n me class. It was SO hot that none of us could justify putting the babies in their costumes. Hunter enjoyed the pumpkins anyways (and he was eating the pumpkins).
Gaby and Casey with their babies Edwin and Sammy.

Here Hunter is wearing Keegan's cute little hat. Isn't it cute that they share clothes?
As close as it came to a costume

Aunty Tiff came to visit on Wednesday and stayed until Thursday morning. It was fantastic to see her. She LOVED Hunter and Hunter loved her too. I enjoyed seeing someone I have known since I was 5 playing with my little baby love.
Also, on Wednesday night Morgan, Bridge and Keegan came over to watch the presidential debate. It was so nice to have them over!
This is the morning at the bagel place.

I guess it was an exciting morning because Hunter passed out in his chair. Maybe it's because he has decided to no longer sleep for more than 2 hours in a row. This would make anyone tired (including mommy).
Hunter and I really like to play in his room. We have all kinds of toys. I am trying to get him to roll over, but instead of rollin over he just pulls the blanket until he gets the toys to him. He's too smart!

Ryan and Nora came over for playtime.

I guess Hunter thinks we're pretty funny. He really has a great little laugh and uses it more and more these days. Look how relaxed he looks!
After his bath Daddy holds him to help Mommy put the lotion on him.
On Friday I went to the gym, had a massage and then had a mommy party. Eight of my mommy friends and their babies came over to play. Thor had to be in the middle of the excitement to make sure everyone played nicely together.
From left: Nora, Alexander (Ashley) and Hunter. Look how he sits so big and tall!
Keegan and Hunter - such good buddies!

The scene - look at all of those mommies playing with their babies. Such fun!
This is Finn and Gana. We haven't seen Gana in awhile because she's back at work but she came over to play which was so nice.
Karen and baby Anabel were enjoying themselves too!
Nora and Hudson were flirting, but Hunter didn't seem to mind.
Bridget and Alexander. Alexander got 2 teeth when he was 5 months old! I wonder if Hunter will follow in his footsteps? He is really teething, and his little gums are all swollen and white! I hope the teeth come in soon so he'll be happier.

I think Alexander wanted Hunter's water bottle. He did succeed in taking the bottle away from Hunter, which caused Hunter to scream and cry. Poor kid. I guess we have to learn the value of sharing.

Although he's a fantastic host, sometimes a baby just needs to sleep. He fell asleep while all of his buddies played around him.
Ashey (Alexander's mommy) then played tug of war with Nora. Maybe bullying runs in the family? (Kidding).

This is Hudson. He's 8 months old! What a big boy!
Nora is checking out what's going on over by Hunter.

The little guy kept throwing up over and over again. I changed him 4 times because of all the vomit. I guess having all of these friends over made him too excited. Now he's relaxing on the couch.

Hunter and Nora are playing on/with the blankie.
That night Brian and I went to a yummy dinner at Fleming's - one of our favorite steakhouses. Hunter was a big hit and the busboys and hostess were stopping by constantly to say "hi". Brian and I ate at this restaurant the night before Hunter was born.
Hunter is in the big boy bath!

I think he's just happy that the bath is over and done. Look at our happy baby!
And the custest little bear ever.
He's finally big and stable enough to sit in a high chair. This was his first time. At Cheesecake Factory they brought over bread and bananas for him too.
Then he fell asleep from all the excitement.
This is his new favorite toy - Sophie the giraffe. He chews on it constantly. I think it's the only thing that relieves his teething pain.

Hunter and I are hanging out, giggling at one another.
Then he eats my face - OUCH!

Thor is the cutest puppy ever!

Hunter and Daddy are enjoying the day.
Gramma and Hunter are having a great evening.

At dinner we all sat on the booth together. Hehe. How cute is he sitting next to us?
The 3 of us - our little family - my life. See how handsome my men are? I couldn't love them any more than I do. I couldn't have a happier life (unless Hunter slept a little bit more).

Thanks for visiting and enjoy your week!

He's getting so big and it's amazing to see him sitting up on his own. I bet it's so much fun to see him hitting all of these milestones!!!
