Oh how quickly time passes...

Time passes more quickly, the older you get. Brian and I were talking about it the other day, and we realized that when you're watching the "baby steps", the little time periods go so fast and before you know it, 5 1/2 months have passed. I cant believe Hunter is 5 1/2 months old. He is such a special baby. I think that other mommy's can tell that he's just really special - there's something about him.

Thor is still quite protective of Hunter, but doesn't want to be too close to him, but close enough that he's there if Hunter needs him. Aren't they cute together?

We joined a baby gym that is based on classes of gymnastics. Hunter really likes it there...and he was semi-intrigued by the ball pit.

And he loved the swing.

Thor and Nala are fighting over Thor's favorite toy. Even when Hunter is sleeping, we have plenty of entertainment with the dogs.

Given the fact that Hunter was waking up every 2 hours (yes, every TWO hours), we decided to start him on "solids". The first food you give a baby is rice cereal, so here is Hunter eating his rice cereal. I mean, let's be clear here, it's 1 tbsp of rice cereal to 3 tbsp of breastmilk. He did okay with it - he even opened his mouth for it a few times. Overall though, it's all over the place.

This is baby Andrew and Hunter. Andrew was born in late February and he's a big boy! So sweet though...

The little man is posing for the camera. This is the second time I fed him, when I was smart enough to not have his clothes on while I did it.

We were lucky enough to see Emily this week too! She hadn't seen Hunter awake since he was born - so she got to play with him in his fun, animated state.

We went to visit Uncle Jeff and Aunt Holly and Hunter was curled up on their big leather chair. Unfortunately, he did not nap.

Uncle Jeff was letting Hunter pet M.D. Hunter sure does love dogs!

So, only in L.A. would you actually see this. I was sitting at a light when a man pulled up next to me with 3 full size skeletons in his car. Seriously? What a weirdo. Luckily, my camera was handy, so I could get this snapshot.

Here's the family, out for dinner. Jeff and Holly get married May 23! So exciting!

This is probably my new favorite picture: Daddy and Hunter cuddling on the bed. Hunter is big on chewing on his fingers these days. He's such a cutie!

In Vegas we went to see Jen Richards, who I have been great friends with since high school. Her son, Daniel G, was born June 1st 2007. He's an incredibly cute little guy with a lot of personality.

This is my new favorite video. Daddy was making Hunter laugh. He no longer just giggles, he actually laughs. This video will likely make you laugh, and it might even make you cry.

I have been thinking about the word "home" and what it means. What is a home? Is it a place of residence? Or is that a house? Can a home be a location? "Home is where the heart is", "There's no place like home", etc. There are tons of expressions involving the word home, but I find I get confused when i talk about Vegas. I'm from there, I lived there for 18 years. When I talk about it, I sometimes get confused and say "home". Certainly that is not my home. Manhattan Beach si my home. That's where I feel the most at peace. That's where my friends are. Where Hunter lives. But, maybe, if home is where the heart is, then my home is wherever Hunter and Brian are. After all, my heart is always with those two. Maybe there's a location called "home" but your home can change based on the context in which it's used? I'm not quite sure.

Anyhow, life is good, as always. I adore my little life - I know I tell you this a lot but I like you to know that I am SO happy and I am thankful for my great hubby and awesome baby - my wonderful dogs and my nice house. It's such a nice life- I just wish my family lived a little bit closer. Luckily, I have Brian's family here.
